Where is David Crowley? No, seriously. He's campaigning like Joe Biden in 2020, but he doesn't have the COVID pandemic (or dementia) as an excuse.

Even Democrat voters, particularly supporters of Francesca Hong — who is doing more campaign events for Crowley than he is — are noticing his dearth of campaign events and communication.

"I just want crowleyforwi.com to have a list of events that I can seem at, interact with him, anything other than just asking me for money. Literally just begging. I have gone here, there is not a list of events. There just isn't. But if you go to Tom Tiffany's, there's a whole big f***ing page of them," the woman said.

Asking for money is what Crowley does best. He did it in D.C. and California last month. Sometimes he doesn't ask, either. He takes it by government mandate, too, as his 2027 budget — which raises taxes and imposes fees to access Milwaukee County parks and the lakefront.

Or perhaps this is why Crowley isn't in front of the cameras more often:

"When you look at what Congressman Tom Tiffany and Donald Trump are doing, they're peeing on us and telling us it's raining," Crowley said.

Um.

What?

The video then cut to Tiffany, who said, "We cannot afford to have David Crowley's Milwaukee Mess become Wisconsin's way of life."

As I said the other day, I'm getting strong Kamala 2024 vibes from the Crowley campaign, and now hints of Biden 2020, too. That's by no means saying we should rest and believe Tiffany will coast to victory. Every single Republican needs to go and vote red, up and down the ticket.

But it is all optimistic, and the Marquette University Law Poll showed Tiffany has the momentum. This is what I have said since the second Democrats resurrected Crowley's campaign, which was problematic in and of itself. He dropped out of the primary for a reason — he didn't see a path to victory. He barely squeaked by in the primary. He leads a failed county that every other county in the state despises, except maybe Dane County. Voters in Outagamie County, in Waukesha, in Iowa County do not want Milwaukee — a city and county they view as a tax-dollar-sucking, crime-ridden hellhole — to dictate policy in Madison.

Even if Crowley does get out there, what's he going to run on? A record of raising taxes? His racist, DEI policy of giving county employees raises unless they're white men? The violence in the city? The county jail tablet program being abused by inmates? What good things can Crowley run on?

And what is he promising voters? Socialized medicine, being an ally of illegal aliens, increasing our taxes, and turning us into the Midwest's California.

It seems Crowley's team thinks less exposure is better. Except even his voters are discontent, and he can't win when even the base is unenthusiastic about voting in November.
