I can't tell you how many times I, a Catholic, have been accused of being "anti-science." That's ironic for many reasons, the first of which being that the Catholic Church did a lot to advance science and education. Gregor Mendel, an Augustinian friar born in 1822, founded the scientific field of genetics. Georges Lemaître, a Belgian priest and astrophysicist, proposed the Big Bang theory of the universe's origin. Catholic cleric and mathematician Nicolaus Copernicus formulated the heliocentric model of the solar system and Nicolas Steno, a bishop, was a pioneer in anatomy and modern geology.
Sure, very anti-science.
Of course, when they accuse me of being "anti-science," it's in the same vein as when they accuse me of being "transphobic," "Islamophobic," or "racist." What they really mean is I ask questions and don't kowtow to their political agenda, so I'm a bigot. I refused to give my boys — who are otherwise fully vaccinated — the COVID jab, so that made me "anti-science," too.
But there is no group that is more viciously and rigidly anti-science than the Left, and especially the trans activist crowd. This includes Elliot/Ellen Page, the transgender actor who thinks the gender binary isn't real while she insists we call her a man. She once again attacked biology, calling it her favorite smear, a "cis hetero patriarchal system." Wonder how long it took her to workshop that term, which she dropped in a recent interview.

Actually, yes. People who are born female and then think they were "born in the wrong body" are, in fact, maladaptive. There is something wrong with a person who wants to remove healthy body parts and take wrong sex hormones to try and become a different gender.
At our core, with rare genetic exceptions, we are born male and female. Biology is not bigoted. That's reality.
And this is where the problem comes in. Reality will always, invariably win. That's why the Left is militant in the enforcement of its transgender ideology and rules, even to the point of violence. The Left will argue the trans movement is a small fraction of society, but that we restructure everything, including our language, to affirm, appease, and accommodate them. That's why my outgoing governor, Tony Evers, tried to change the language in state documents to remove "women" and call us "inseminated persons" instead.
But that's small potatoes compared to the demand that we institute a total upheaval of science to soothe the fragile egos of people like Page, who both decry the gender binary and demand any gender non-conforming person mutilate his or her body to fit the Left's stereotypes of gender norms. You cannot have a civilization or a civil society when a segment of your population demands the destruction of reality because that reality hurts their feelings.
And I never want to hear a leftist lecture me about being "anti-science" when they spout garbage like this.
