As we approach the 2024 election, the GOP will have an easier time attracting their faithful base and frustrated independents. They can send a united campaign message focusing on border security, energy independence that takes advantage of all energy sources, holding the line on taxes, bringing inflation under control, supporting school choice, supporting Israel, and delivering equal rights for “all” legal citizens.

Certainly, abortion remains the one issue Democrats will try to focus on to divide those potential Republican supporters. But the Democrats have far bigger problems in keeping their critical voter blocks supportive.

In the previous election the focus of Democrats was on rallying the “hate Trump” voters. Few actually voted in support of President Biden. Now, Biden has had a record and will have to defend that record in the months ahead. That will not be easy in a party that has always focused on delivering added benefits for critical special interest groups. In 2024, many of the special interest groups they depend on have competing priorities. Some are demonstrating against each other, each demanding Biden’s support.

If his past is any predictor, Biden may soon hide! He will be tempted to spend more time in his Delaware basement and continue to avoid open press conferences like the plague! He’s never been able handle any unscripted questions, and he now knows that the wrong answer could turn off voters.

So, adding to the reality that Biden is a weak, failing leader who is facing legal issues that could dwarf those faced by President Trump, his base is increasingly unhappy. No matter who Democrats end up selecting as their candidate, the Democrat’s biggest nightmare may very well come from multiple special interest revolts from constituents they need to win. Here are but a few of the conflicts that threaten Democrats in 2024:

Moslems vs. Jews: Angry demonstrations by Hamas supporters and competing Israeli supporters continue to occur in many large urban centers. Biden is trying to call for ceasefires to appease Palestinian supporters while openly supporting Israel’s goal of eliminating Hamas terrorists in Gaza to appease Jewish voters. Both Moslems and Jews predominantly vote Democrat, but both groups now complain that Biden is not doing enough to meet their cause.

Biological Women vs. Trans Men Pretending to Be Women: A majority of American women tend to vote Democrat. But as they watch trans men unfairly compete against women in sports and in the business world, more women are questioning their support of Democratic candidates who defend the open abuse of their long-standing support for women’s rights.

Benefits for Illegal immigrants vs. Support for Hurting American Citizens: Biden’s support for an open boarder has created problems for urban Democrats throughout America. Americans in both parties are tired of illegal immigrants getting better treatment and benefits than American citizens who are struggling in this Biden economy.

Mandated EV Cars vs. Auto Union Workers Support: While Democrats brag about demanding citizens to buy unreliable electric vehicles, many citizens and auto union workers are openly complaining. They are against EV mandates. They want EVs to compete for customers with traditional vehicles on the basis of performance, value, and cost.

Student loan relief vs. No Interest Rate Relief for Everyone Else: Real wages are down, and inflation has left more Americans living paycheck to paycheck. They see Biden forgive student loans while watching fuel costs, food prices, and mortgage rates soar for average Americans. Most Americans had to pay off their loans. Today’s students should do the same.

Mandated Renewable Alternative Energy vs. Availability of Renewable energy, Fossel Fuels, and Nuclear Energy: It’s now clear that solar and wind energy will never meet our needs. Americans from both parties want an all-of-the-above approach to energy to keep costs low and maintain energy grid reliability.

Teacher Unions vs. Minority Support for School Choice: Voters know that the Democrats are owned by the teacher unions. Minority parents are tired of underperforming schools. More and more Americans want school choice which Biden will never openly support.

Gun Control vs. Self-Protection: Democrat politicians would love to limit “assault weapons” in America, but Americans from all parties are complaining about crime in their neighborhoods. Calls to eliminate police are giving way to growing demands for a return to law and order. They want people who commit the crimes to do the time. Taking guns away from people who feel an increasing need to protect their families and homes is not a winning issue.

Between now and the election in 2024, Democrats are going to try to keep everyone happy, rally the “hate Trump” crowd, and distract Republicans with the issue of abortion. Unfortunately for Democrats, more people are angry about issues that are impacting their families every day.

Since Biden took office, America has not been working for far too many Americans. If Republicans focus on the issues that matter to middle America and give them a candidate that can attract independents, Democrats are well positioned to fall on the special interest sword they have counted on for victory. The defectors may not vote GOP, but they may just stay home. Here’s hoping they do.
