In this week's column, one of the promises I identified in a hypothetical Democrat Contract with America was, "Ensure former President Donald Trump is convicted of some crime that will limit his ability to run for office in 2024. President Trump did such damage to our country and initiated insurrection on January 6th. As a result, he cannot be allowed to even run for President again." I had no idea that they would act so quickly in such a brazen way to prove me accurate.
It's time to clean house! It's time to vote any Democrat who defends this FBI raid out of office. Do you need motivation for November's mid-term election? Here it is. To militarize the FBI to execute such a brazen, unnecessary raid this close to an election in an extremely divided country is unprecedented and foolish.
If they do not have clear evidence of a crime, there will be rage in support of the current top-rated candidate for the 2024 Presidential election. Not even all Republicans wanted Trump to run, but this will rally support for his candidacy. His supporters and those supportive of a democratic process will not let this action stand.
The security state has been after Trump since he came on the scene. The Russia Hoax was debunked and was used to attempt to hold him hostage. His Impeachment was a sham.
There needs to be an overwhelming victory in November. We need a veto-proof majority to clean house of those involved in this abuse. The trust is gone. The leadership of these institutions that have lost all credibility must pay a price.
The FBI has again shown evidence of their double standard. The FBI has refused to hold Hilary Clinton and Hunter Biden accountable for their crimes. Clinton kept high-security files on a private server on destroyed emails. That was illegal. They have had Hunter Biden's computer for two years with clear evidence of Joe Biden's knowledge and even involvement. Where is his Hunter Biden's indictment?
They need an alleged crime and enough evidence of a predicated crime. They would have to know that this extreme attack on Donald Trump has been extension of their actions for the last six years.

The Attorney General and the Director of the FBI would have to had knowledge of this raid. They did not choose to establish a special counsel to avoid the politicization of this action. It is hard to believe that this is not partisan politics. In this age of low trust, they will have a high burden of proof to explain to Trump's enraged supporters.
This raid from a Democratic administration when they control both the House and the Senate will enrage Republicans and provide all the motivation they need to take Democrats down through the ballot box. If elections are not close, Democrats can't cheat! Republicans must unite and take them down!
A militarized FBI is a nightmare. This institution that used to be respected to keep America safe has lost all respect. It's time for Republicans and independents to band together to ensure that such direct attacks on a political opponent is not allowed to stand.
This kind of action has never occurred with any past President. You don't need a warrant when a subpoena would have sufficed. President Trump was not even in Mar-A-Lago to destroy any evidence they wanted. This was a complete overreach.
They must think they have complete confidence to risk this kind of optics. But then again, "Potomac Fever" sometimes makes federal politicians think that the "majority" will support such a partisan action. Few voters will think such a hammer is needed to deal with the issue of not releasing necessary Presidential documents. This is an issue that has been a problem for almost all past Presidents. It has never been seen as a case for such a raid or prosecution.
It is reported that these boxes were taken by President Trump and kept in a secure room at Mar-A-Lago. Federal authorities were reportedly admitted to that room and the boxes. They were invited to go through the boxes. But now they are taking a heavy-handed Gestapo approach that will backfire against Democrats. May they pay a heavy price for this raid. It's time to clean house in this out-of-control organization. Get mad. Get involved. Get even by voting these people out of office.
