Donald Trump’s presidency is an example of how refreshing it is when someone who loves America more than himself gets elected to the land’s highest office. Even still, there are those among us, the les misérables, a terrible brood of insufferably insolent grifters who wouldn’t see American goodness if it slapped them in the face.

As wonderful as Trump’s presidency has been, it’s also bittersweet. Bittersweet because it exposed the pervasiveness and insidiousness of the anti-Trump crowd. Trump’s pro-Americanism, along with the inevitable fallout from his election four years ago, uncovered the filthy souls of the diehard Democrat faithful. It also exposed the snobbish, self-serving anti-Trump establishment grifters. What we witnessed in the last four years is as dishonest and ugly and repulsive as it gets.

It’s as if leftists’ happiness lies only in that which makes the rest of us miserable. There is an uncomfortable pleasure watching them suffocate in their misery; misery triggered by seeing those who love America have a president who loves it too.

Just four years in, and he’s run circles around every president in recent history with promises made and promises kept. Trump worked nonstop to fulfill those promises, despite detractors and Deep State traitors’ attempts to overturn his election with illegal spying, legacy media lies, bogus impeachment charges and a phony Russian dossier.

Nevertheless, Trump pushed forward, fulfilling promise after promise, choosing his love of country and his devotion to Americans over weak decisions and capitulation to the left.

He promised to remake the federal bench, appointing originalist judges beholden to the Constitution. Trump delivered, with three new justices to the Supreme Court, as well as 220 federal judges.

Trump promised to create jobs and improve the flailing Obama-Biden economy. He didn’t just improve it; Trump built the world’s best economy. And it’s rising and leading the world again, despite a global pandemic—notwithstanding Democratic Party leaders’ attempts to smother it by shuttering businesses and weaponizing fear over a virus, of which 99.99% of those who contract it recover.

Nevertheless, their relentless attempts failed. The Commerce Department reports the economy is on the rebound from the coronavirus recession; the GDP surged at an unprecedented rate of 33.1% from July through September. The previous post-World War II record was a 16.7 percent increase in 1950.

Trump delivered on criminal justice reform, although it wasn’t one of his signature campaign promises. He signed the First Step Act into law in 2018. This legislation corrected many of the injustices of the Clinton Crime Bill that then-Sen. Joe Biden helped write. Those who benefited most are African Americans, with 91 percent having their sentences shortened.

Here are more of kept promises in no specific order: Trump negotiated fair trade deals with Japan, South Korea, Canada and Mexico; rebuilt our military; is building and rebuilding our border walls; supported law and order; cut federal government regulations which freed American businesses to succeed; axed the Obamacare mandate; heartily supported conservatism and Christianity; moved the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem; dramatically reshaped the Middle East, brokering the Abraham Accords peace deal between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and most recently, Sudan.

Trump accomplished all that, despite daily attacks by the Soviet-style leftist media in collaboration with their willing minions, the Democrats. Trump’s kept promises provide a salve to wounds left behind from eight years of the Obama-Biden administration and simultaneously serve as hydrogen peroxide to the festering pustule, which is today’s Democratic Party.

If Trump lost in 2016, we’d have never known, this side of Judgement Day, that the Obama-Biden administration (along with Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee) weaponized intelligence and law enforcement agencies to spy on Trump’s campaign--and later, a sitting president, Mr. Trump.

The election of Donald Trump gave America a reprieve from the onslaught of the infestation of leftist ideology and interminable corruption. It bought us time and allowed us the opportunity to get our proverbial house in order. With his upcoming 2020 victory (Lord willing and unless Democrats steal it), who knows how far in the direction of greatness Trump will steer this country, and how many cancerous Deep State tumors he will remove.
