Andrew Cuomo Claims 'Every Life is Priceless.' He Just Doesn’t Believe It.

When asked about potential plans for state-re-opening in light of COVID-19, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo asserted that we must really consider how much a human life is worth before moving forward. His emphatic opinion on the matter being that “every life is priceless. Period.” It was a powerful statement of leadership, the problem is he doesn’t believe it.

As governor, he has not merely tolerated abortion laws, he’s actively led and celebrated New Yorkers having the right to have abortions during birth. Those babies -- on whom we can do surgery while in utero or put in NICU under other circumstances -- do not make the “priceless” list in New York.

Evidently, the only lives he deems priceless are the ones he can feign to protect with sheltering-in-place mandates, namely, those outside the womb. The life of any boy or girl inside of their pregnant mother, on the other hand, he considers within a woman’s constitutional right to terminate. The way Gov. Cuomo sees it, the worth of those inside the womb can very much be counted. The price must be right.

If every life is priceless, then all, both in and out of the womb, deserve protection. The sort of Social Darwinism that selects who has dignity and when always leads to the destruction of innocent human life. Today, since 1973, more than 60 million babies have been taken by abortion, and Gov. Cuomo’s radical abortion laws make way for more death.

So, Gov. Cuomo, I think we differ on which lives are priceless. Those who accept science and don’t believe that dignity is somehow earned throughout gestation, are pro-every life always, pandemic, or no pandemic. You, however, are very much willing to put a price on life as it serves to convenience you.

Because every life is priceless, every woman, man and child deserve protection, both in and out of the womb. Until our country comes to an agreement on this, the largest genocide in the history of the world will continue long after any pandemic.
