This is Not a Scandal

I’m beginning to realize that we are performing a major injustice when we call all of the events of the past year “scandals”. Scandals are what soap operas base their story lines off of. Scandals are actions of a President and his intern in the Oval Office. I will even admit that breaking into a private office to search for dirt on your opponent can be considered a scandal.

However, what we are talking about with this administration is the infringement of American's constitutional rights, the use of the government to target our own citizens, and most importantly, the death of three former Navy Seals and an American ambassador. I consider this to be far more than just scandalous; I consider this to be more in the category of betrayal.

The AP wiretapping, Verizon's document turnover, the White House’s war on Fox News, the IRS targeting of conservative and religious groups – they all illustrate a pattern that emphasizes Obama’s adversarial relationship with the people who are supposed to have a say in government.

Yet we are constantly told by Jay Carney that the President wasn't aware of any of these events. What has he been doing every day? Playing golf or planning his next Jay -Z concert, I would imagine.

President Obama needs to decide how he wants to explain these events and his “leadership” to the American people. Either a) he’s so completely out-of-the-loop that he has no control of what goes on in his administration or b) he must admit that he’s in control and thus responsible for these "scandals" and the way in which his administration is conducting itself.

PRESIDENT OBAMA

Either way, whether he’s tyrannical or negligent, Americans deserve better.

It’s not just that four major cabinets are in disarray; it’s that there is a unifying pattern within all of these betrayals. Whatever departments of the executive branch these betrayals are falling under, they all operate with the same mandate: Punish and hinder dissent while rewarding those who are loyal to the Obama regime.

If you're going to be a president who delegates to subordinates, fine. But if that's your management style, you have to demand accountability when they foul up.

Ask this; can we really trust that the Obama administration wishes to serve the American people when they have such an adversarial relationship? Obviously not.
