First Baptist Church of Dallas has a storied history of spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ beyond the confines of our physical sanctuary. Since our partnership with First Dallas Media Inc. in 1976, we have steadfastly committed to reaching hearts and minds through radio ministry. Our flagship station, KCBI-FM, serves as a beacon of hope throughout Dallas, broadcasting Contemporary Christian music, inspirational talk programs, and Bible teachings to hundreds of thousands of listeners weekly.

The impact of our ministry, particularly through programs like Pathway to Victory, cannot be overstated. Heard on over 1,000 radio stations daily, along with our television, print, and digital platforms, we strive to fulfill our church's mission of transforming lives with God's Word—one soul at a time.

Yet, our ability to reach and serve the lost extends beyond spiritual nourishment. It touches upon fundamental principles of our democracy- freedom of speech and religious practice-enshrined in the Constitution's First Amendment. The AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act represents a vital step in safeguarding these freedoms by ensuring that Christian communicators have a platform to share the Gospel and positively impact lives for eternity.

Moreover, AM radio is a lifeline during emergencies, offering reliable communication when other channels fail. As witnessed during the 2021 winter storm in Texas and the recent cellular outage affecting millions nationwide, AM radio remained a dedicated source of critical information, helping to keep families safe and informed. Its resilience and dependability, especially in times of crisis, underscore its indispensable role in our nation's emergency alert infrastructure.

With bipartisan support from over 250 members of Congress, the time to act on this crucial legislation is now. The AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act ensures public safety during emergencies and preserves a vital platform for spreading hope and the Gospel in communities across America.

I urge you to stand with me in support of this legislation by contacting your members of Congress. By doing so, you will not only uphold the values of our democracy but also contribute to the well-being of our citizens and the advancement of the Gospel.
