In the wake of the Supreme Court decision, Louisiana V. Callais, which ends gerrymandering based specifically on race, U.S. Democrat Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (NY-8) went on a tirade, declaring the Supreme Court illegitimate and calling for “maximum warfare, everywhere, all the time” against the Republican Party. President Trump responded by calling for Jeffries’ impeachment. Impeachment is not a remedy contained in the Constitution, but expulsion of House members is possible with a supermajority vote.

Many Americans are wondering how we got here with the House minority leader and the President at such odds.

Well, to begin, the Democrats have lied about Donald Trump every single day for 12 years… Democrats tried to oust him from office through an FBI-engineered coup. They tried to oust him from office through two spurious impeachments. Democrats changed the election laws in six toss-up states through extra-legislative means to rig the 2020 election. While Trump was out of office, they sought to bankrupt him and his family and then to jail him. They bankrupted and jailed a number of his associates for being associated with him. Since he won reelection in 2024, a few of their deranged, woke members have tried to kill him – three times. That sounds like a war being waged by an entire political party against one person, a duly elected, standing President.

This kind of war is opposite to our nation’s many systems of reconciliation, meant to establish societal peace.

Our nation has held together for nearly 250 years because of the genius of several of our governing systems whose whole design is based on the notion of ensuring the nation's liberty through fair, equitable governance, opportunities and aspirations that reconcile fellow citizens. The only exception being the afterlife of slavery, beyond the adoption of our Constitution, for which this nation suffered about 650,000 casualties…

Our Constitution is based on Aristotelian common sense that not all persons will think of the same subject in the same way. Therefore, our system allows all citizens to vote directly or to be heard through their elected representatives in assemblies where arguments are freely expressed, heard and considered as to what is best for the town, the state or the country; and the majority opinion carries the assembly onto the creation of fair and beneficial laws, common to all. If one disagrees with a law, one has a right to vote for another aspirant to the assembly more in keeping with one's views. It is the best system ever devised in human history for reconciling the always various views of a single electorate.

Our Constitution defines ours as a federal Republic; federalism provides an independence to localities and states to live largely under their own laws. It is a system that forbids a far more populous California or New York from dictating to a smaller Missouri or Wyoming that they should live under the laws of Californians, with which they disagree. The Constitution foresaw that persons of different states might have very different ideas as to how to govern themselves. By this federalism, the states of Wyoming and California are reconcilable as to common rights and common defense without necessarily having entirely the same laws.

This civil framework is one based on a pluralistic society operating under a common federal framework, which is reconciled while maintaining its diversity.

Our free enterprise system, based on Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations, published in 1776, provides that the consumer decides what products are produced and by whom. The consumers vote based on what goods or services they choose to purchase. People and businesses prosper under this system to the degree to which they serve the public good. People who labor all their lives conceiving a good idea, investing time, labor and capital into the idea, then delivering it to a subscribing public – deserve the rewards they receive.

This fluid economic framework is based on everyone having the freedom to produce and to purchase what they wish, while having the opportunity for upward mobility in such a free society based on their merit. Such a society is reconciled by an open, economic system of justified, merited rewards.

Lastly, there is the spiritual realm, which our Constitution left free. Our nation’s founders were strong in their Judeo-Christian beliefs, but left the determination of one’s faith firmly in the soul of the believer without any impression of government. America’s dominant faith, Christianity, is perhaps the greatest reconciling religion the world has ever known, it preaches humility and the embrace of those who oppose us.

So, why does Hakeem Jeffries want to declare war?

It is because a large percentage of the Democrat Party is now openly socialist to its core. And the core beliefs of Socialism are irreconcilable with America’s systems of reconciliation.

Socialists in the Democrat Party do not believe in representative government or federalism. They believe in concentrating power in Washington DC, and wielding it through an unconstitutional, unenumerated, unbalanced, unchecked, unelected, unrepresentative, unaccountable Administrative State – alone. They need a pliant Supreme Court to do that.

These socialists do not believe in free enterprise; they believe in a command-and-control economy in which they decide who produces what, whether citizens want it or not…

The Democrats have been openly showing their hostility to Christianity for decades and recently have shown themselves to be openly antisemitic.

In summation, socialists are at war with the founding American systems, which produce societal reconciliation.
