Israel has been at war since its founding. The reason is simple.
An interesting piece of information concerns when countries became “Muslim countries” and lost their original identities. Many of the countries we consider “Muslim,” like Iraq, Iran, Syria, Egypt, and Lebanon, were conquered during the 7th Century, primarily between 630 and 660. Many of those countries remained majority Christian or other faiths, and only after several centuries became majority Muslim. Today, one would be hard-pressed to remember that Egypt was once majority Coptic Christian, while until relatively recently, Lebanon was majority Maronite Catholic.
One can look at the modern state of Israel in many different ways. One may see it as a return of the Jewish people to their ancestral land. Alternatively, one could claim that the Jews stole some nonexistent country, “Palestine,” and turned it into Israel. The attacks against Jews in the Levant go back 100 years—even before the formal founding of the state of Israel. Former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir perceptively stated that if the 1967 borders were okay with the Arabs, why did they try to destroy Israel prior to 1967? While one may claim that Arab and Palestinian violence against Israel is related to supposed colonialism and land usurpation, there is another way to look at a century of Arab violence against Jews. Essentially, the state of Israel is the only country in modern times actively trying to prevent a Muslim takeover of its land.
When one looks at the many groups and individuals who fight against Israel, one sees a hodgepodge of Jew haters. Sunnis and Shias, Islamists and Marxists, local and distant, Arabs, Persians, and Turks. The one constant is Muslim. Israel has over 130,000 Arab Christians who, for the most part, get along with the Jews and prosper in their lives here. But they’re “Arabs”! Yes, very true, but they are not at war with Israel. Muslims, whether they be Islamists or completely irreligious Fatah regulars, are the ones trying to kill Jews and end the state of Israel. And for Israel, the price has been enormous. Every Memorial Day, the number of those killed in wars or terror attacks is recounted. It stands around 25,000. Now, one can say that the U.S. lost nearly 7,000 Marines and sailors at Iwo Jima alone, and that would be true. But even then, the U.S. was a country of over 134 million citizens, which is 13 times the number of Israelis today.
Israel fights to keep this strip of land from becoming Muslim State #86, and it is an expensive, painful, and, to date, unfinished task. Meanwhile, Europe is simply surrendering to a slow-motion Muslim takeover of its lands and governments. See the violence in France after the big soccer victory? Did you miss the destruction in Belgium? Or what about the attempted beheading in Belfast? Many of these people have no right to be in the European countries where they are today. But the Europeans don’t have the strength or belief in their own countries to fight at a tenth of what Israel does in order to save themselves. If they stopped the boats, threw out all illegals or criminals, and forced assimilation on anyone remaining, they might have a future. But doing these things would require violence as well as institutions like the army and judiciary that support endless immigration. The Moors conquered Spain and Portugal. Italy and France were under Muslim rule. The southern European states like Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania were Ottoman properties. The Muslim Brotherhood and its Middle Eastern backers see the conquest of Europe as merely getting back what they believe is rightfully theirs. One hears a Congresswoman say, “Somalis built this country” as a prelude to future claims of the U.S. having to come under Islamic control.
Not all invasions involve troops coming ashore with aerial and naval bombardments as accompaniment. The endless stream of boats that come to Europe is a form of invasion, especially as the governments are in self-loathing mode and thus accept the illegal arrivals rather than simply deny them entry. It is always an unpleasant surprise to learn that some illegal criminal was living in government-supplied housing and receiving monthly stipends. Donald Trump has empowered the U.S. Border Patrol to shut down the southern border. Tom Homan has a mandate to send illegal aliens home. These actions are based on a “preexisting condition”, namely that Donald Trump, those around him, and the people who put him back in Washington believe that the United States is worth protecting. Once you have that as your baseline belief, then you act accordingly. You protect your border. You eject people who should not be in your country. Enlistment targets are met four months early because people are gangbusters to be part of Pete Hegseth’s crew. Europe today is missing that baseline: you don’t see a lot of patriotism from the “leaders”. Does Keir Starmer or even King Charles sound like a rah-rah lover of England in the manner of Donald Trump? The president has beautified Washington because it is the seat of power of a great country and should look appropriate. The European “elite” lost their love of country a long time ago; the invasion of Western-hating foreigners is only the next-to-last step in the fall.
And while the European leaders never seem upbeat about their countries, there are still a lot of Patriots. The attempted murder in Belfast led to thousands protesting against the presence of illegal aliens whose culture does not mesh with that of the Irish. The problem for Europe is similar to the problem in the U.S.: the official bodies that one would use to change the equation are heavily indoctrinated against their own countries. Remember the FBI agents who took a knee for George Floyd? How many district judges have directly tried to stop deportation proceedings? The British police are pro-illegals and anti-Brits. The murder of the young Henry Nowak was the epitome of anti-white racism. When we grew up, we were told that any unfounded bias towards others was racism. One of the tricks of the left was to excuse blacks, foreigners and others from any possibility of racism: if you’re anti-white, well, that’s not racism. Yes, it is, and the European institutions cannot get over it. Even if Tommy Robinson became the prime minister of the United Kingdom, he would not get one single plane of illegal aliens off the ground from Heathrow. The police, army, courts, European bodies, and leftists would fight tooth and nail to prevent any return to normality.
Europe and the U.S. do not have to fight the kind of kinetic war that Israel has been fighting if they take care of the problem now. If they wait until they reach 50:50, then there will be civil wars between the newly ascendant Muslim groups and the citizens who still remember pictures of how life used to be so long ago. The steps listed above are not difficult, but would require a moral spine that does not exist presently in Europe and is only present in Washington because Donald Trump is in the White House. Joe Biden could have closed the border and initiated the departure of millions of illegal aliens, but he was not interested in doing either. His DHS guy and spokesperson kept telling us the border was closed, as live drone video showed just the opposite. To save the West, leaders—and the voters who chose them—have to believe in their countries and national projects. The U.S. is worth saving, and so is Europe. In the U.S., there are tens of millions of voters who have shown that they want the U.S. to continue and thrive. Europe is not there yet, though more immigrant violence might bring them to that conclusion.
