Reporting on the Mirror – PULITZER PRIZES

  • It almost looks like slamming the administration was compulsory.

The last iteration of the highest honor in journalism has just been handed out. Monday saw the list of announced winners of the Pulitzer Prize released, and there was a discernible theme seen throughout the process.

Over nine categories, it is seen that there were 16 outlets recognized as either the winners or nominated for their work covering the administration. Just to clarify - none of these were of a positive nature.

So committed was the committee to this effort that they also presented a Special Citation Award to Julie Kelly of the Miami Herald. It appears the board realized that no award had been given for Epstein's list coverage, so they generated this award out of whole cloth to honor her work exposing Epstein – from nine years ago.

Border-line Obsessives – THE NEW YORK TIMES

  • Could you detail for us what it is that has them so scared?

The latest immigrant sympathy piece comes from the Times, which gives the sad account of how some immigrants in this country illegally feel anxious or frightened in the Long Island suburban region. This is presented as if the federal agents enforcing our immigration laws are somehow in the wrong. The list of what the paper presents as unacceptable results is almost amusing.

-Federal agents benefit when using stealth tactics to apprehend suspects.

-Local politicians are actually helping the federal authorities.

-ICE agents are not scrutinized the same way they might be in metropolitan areas.

-Because of the longer terrain, Long Island residents struggle to get to areas and capture detentions on their cell phones.

-ICE agents use fire stations as rest stops between missions.

Best of all is this complaint, from those who willingly came to this country, but refuse to assimilate:

Children of Republican parents have intimidated our kids,” Ms. Valencia said in Spanish. “They showed up to school with American flags.

Legalized Press-titution – WASHINGTON POST

  • It is a good thing you were there to report on him; otherwise, no one would hear his message!

Some guy in D.C. climbed one of the suspension arches and decided to stage a four-day protest from atop the span. Small matter that the guy has no signage or any way to communicate from such a height, so getting his intended complaint heard was a challenge. No Worries! The Washington Post was there to valiantly arrive and get the man’s message broadcast to the general public!

There were a few supportive protestors - we think - and the video provided shows them communicating to the guy with no means of communication,  via bullhorn. Apparently, he is against the Iranian war, and… Artificial Intelligence?!?! Well, those will certainly both come to an end soon as a result of his camping out at 200 feet above the pavement. Sure.

What the Washington Post never gets around to reporting on is a crucial detail: What is this brave idiot doing about his human waste while perched above the traffic???

Anti-Social Media – ROLLING STONE

  • Could you explain how this opinion affects his axe work from generations ago?

It is an older entry, but at the once notable music magazine, they went back to the well to put out an updated list of The 250 Best Guitarists of All Time a couple of years ago. Making the rounds right now was something of a coda found in one of their selections. Eric Clapton is featured high at #35, but this is a bit of a change from prior iterations of the magazine’s rankings, as pointed out by one of his contemporaries.

Clapton had always been vying for the top position in the opinion of the “experts” at the magazine, but suddenly, he is featured lower?! This is more than a younger set of minds overlooking past greatness; after all, Jimi Hendrix is at the top, and other older notables like B.B. King and Chuck Berry are in the top-10. So, what gives?

Well, it seems that this new group of editors saw fit to include more than fret prowess in their measurement. It seems that during the COVID pandemic, Clapton went public with views on the vaccine, and stated he would not play at venues that mandated masking or that people provide proof they got the jab.

For this reason, they have punished the maestro for his social opinions.

Artisanally-Crafted Narratives – HUFFINGTON POST

  • Just arbitrary accusations about the Right, while Graham Platner is forgiven.

So this one is a bit of a phone-tag scenario, but it is easy to follow along. Recently, on the nightly free-for-all scrum on Newsnight with Abby Phillip, she had on the Left’s favorite vulgar podcaster, Jennifer Welch. The barking crone, unsurprisingly, was full of name-calling invective that night, referring to Stephen Miller of the Trump administration as a “white nationalist.” So now Miller’s wife, Katie Miller, was on the show, and she called out the hostess for not responding to Welch’s hysterics, rightfully pointing out the tendency of Phillip to interrupt her conservative panelists while allowing her liberal partners to prattle on incessantly.

So the account Defiant Ls posted the video clip of Katie’s segment, and this drew the attention of Huffington Post’s resident Leftist, S.V. Date, who brusquely affirmed the claim, apparently unaware that the Millers are Jewish.

Let us simply say, it is never a good idea to side with an imbalance nutter like Jennifer Welch.
