Humans. Americans. Let Everyone Be Treated Equally.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”—Declaration of Independence

No, our Founders were not totally consistent with the above principle, and frankly, America never has been. But to understand their failings in the matter, we must comprehend the age in which they lived, the “zeitgeist” they grew up in. Very, very few Americans today understand it, and the hypocritical Left condemns our Founders for it. This column aims to show the current utter hypocrisy of today’s Democratic Party, and please be patient, reader, we will arrive there by and by. First, the necessary historical setting.

“Nobility of birth,” “divine right monarchy,” governmental hierarchy had been the rule in Europe (and the rest of the world) for thousands of years. “Human equality,” such as spoken of in the Declaration above, was never practiced; the King and his nobility were superior to the peasants and commoners. They were considered better people. “God made me king, so, obey me.” Hierarchy, not democracy, for hundreds, thousands of years. The King: “I hold these truths to be self-evident, that GOD made me King, He gave me the nobility, and that there are no ‘unalienable rights’ that common people have, they are to obey me who God made their superior.”

That is the world our Founders grew up in, and they were human. They absorbed some of it, especially regarding slavery, and indeed, it took America almost 200 years to overcome the inequality that existed, especially racially. And even then, we only did it legally, not in actuality. You see, folks, Jefferson’s statement was a goal, an ideal, a perfection, and probably never an obtainable reality. It certainly has never been attained anywhere in human history. And it never has been in America, either. Because of the world they grew up in, our Founders did not practice the perfect equality they spoke of in the Declaration. Again, it took time for America to overcome the thousands of years of human inequality that had plagued mankind; slavery is much more common in human history than freedom is.

But these far-sighted men stated the goal and gave America and the world something to strive for. It took 200 years to reach legal equality in America; how long will it take the country to abolish the evils of abortion, perversion, adultery, lying, stealing, murder, and rape? We’ll probably never end those things; too many people love them. Such was the world of our Founding Fathers regarding human inequality. The aim: “Equal rights for all; special privileges for none.” Jefferson said that, too.

Thus, even in their human imperfections, our Founding Fathers set a marvelous objective in front of the American people. And it has been, and still is, the Democratic Party that has fought, and still fights, against it, for special privileges for certain classes of people. Not kings and nobles in this case, but people whose votes they want to buy.

A recent headline: “Supreme Court Voids Race-Based Redistricting Map in Louisiana.” Perfectly in harmony with the Declaration of Independence. “All men are created equal.” Jefferson again: “Equal rights for all, special privileges for none.” American elections are not to be based on race, but on argument, debate, and reason. Let the candidates persuade the people that they are the most virtuous and wise to direct the country. Elections are not to be based on race, but on reason. The Supreme Court got it exactly right.

But, two more headlines: “Obama Slams Supreme Court Ruling Voiding Race-Based Gerrymandering.” “Kamala Harris Slams Supreme Court Ruling Voiding Race-Based Gerrymandering: ‘Guts The Voting Rights Act’” (all headlines from Breitbart). Not “one man, one vote.” Not “equal rights for all, special privileges for none.” No, the Democratic Party does not want equal voting; they want race-based voting, special districts for blacks and minorities. People whose votes they can buy because the American people would otherwise never go along with their radical, godless, racist, promiscuous, anti-American agenda. The “king” needs his “nobility” to protect him. In principle, the Democrats want to return to the zeitgeist our Founders grew up in—special privileges for some. And they want to select the King and be his nobility. Nothing could possibly be more un-American than this policy of the Democratic Party.

And such has been the history of the Democratic Party in America. In the 19th century, it was the party of slavery, of special privileges for whites, and none for blacks. When America finally abolished Democratic Party slavery, they didn’t give up. In the 20th century, Democrats became the party of Jim Crow, where again, whites had the privileges and blacks were denied equal rights. America, legally, did away with that in the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Voting Rights Act of 1965. And that’s been the policy of the Republican Party since Abraham Lincoln.

Incidentally, Kamala. You claim SCOTUS is “gutting” the Voting Rights Act. Did you know that a higher percentage of Republicans in Congress voted for the Voting Rights Act (and Civil Rights Act) than Democrats? And the Democrats are still the racists because they still want special privileges for some, privileges like gerrymandering Congressional districts for the benefit of their constituents. Under slavery and Jim Crow, the Democrats wanted white votes. Now, they want black votes. It’s racist to the core, policies based on race, not equality. It’s what the Democratic Party has always been.

But, through their relentless propaganda and the help of their lapdog corporate media allies, the Democrats have convinced millions of Americans that it is Trump and the Republicans who are “racist.” “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it” — Joseph Goebbels.

That’s today’s Democratic Party.
