In their attempt to get President Donald Trump killed, Democrats are hitting zero. You might think that’s a glib way to put it, but how else can you explain the repeated attempts to inspire someone to kill the president and the deflated “we have to condemn all political violence” that inevitably follows? It’s performance art – they have to pretend to be shocked that someone acted on what they’d been openly hinting they’d like to have happen, because otherwise the next person might not be inspired by their rhetoric to pick up the mantle and try to finish the job.
I realize I’m a cynical person – always have been, unlikely to change – but even the most fervent optimist has to watch these Democrats and “progressive” pundits expressing shock that someone would travel across the country to try to kill the president and laugh. They’d already inspired one man to come to D.C. from the West Coast to try to murder Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh; why would anyone think they wouldn’t get another?
In fact, the only truly shocking thing about it is they couldn’t inspire one of their homegrown wanna be terrorists, or at least some leftist monster from New York, to try to do it. Maybe it’s something in the water in California? But it’s most likely just the poison ideology.
Sane people know crazy people exist. That’s why people don’t openly call for the murder of public figures (except the Democrats' flavor of the month and Twitch's/Amazon's (Jeff Bezos’ company owns Twitch) Hassan Piker, who regularly calls for the murder of Republicans (that lawsuit when he succeeds is gonna be big)), because someone might act on it.
Democrats, except for people like Piker and other attention-seeking social media “influencers,” don’t actually call for murder; they hint around about it. Call someone “Hitler” and insist on MS Now, CNN, the pages of The New York Times or Washington Post (Bezos again) that they’re imposing “fascism” enough, and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that someone might just act on it.
See, these people know Donald Trump isn’t a fascist, isn’t the second coming of Hitler, and they know he’s not a dictator – were he any of those things, they’d be dead or in prison. Moreover, they’ve always known he was never even inclined to be remotely close to any of those things because none of them – literally not one – fled the country after he won the election.
Nearly every host on MS Now has done segments and monologues about how Trump would possibly round up gays, Muslims, trans people, pretty much any group liberals pretend to care about at some point in the 2024 campaign. Talk of “concentration camps” didn’t start with ICE; they started in the election and morphed into a talking point about ICE. They instilled in their audience the fear that if Trump won, they might be arrested and “disappeared.” It was a lie, but fear is a hell of a motivator for donations and getting to the polls (it’s the basis for the stupid “No Kings” scam, too).
After Trump won, not one single MS Now host, contributor, or regular guest moved out of the country. They’re all rich; they could easily do their jobs remotely from anywhere, but they all stayed right where they lived before. If you really believed there was even a 1 percent chance anything resembling the Gestapo might come drag you away, wouldn’t you at least have a “go bag” near the door?
All those people did was ramp up their rhetoric. The thing about outrage is that it continually needs more fuel to burn at the same level, much like a junkie needs more drugs to get the same high. These people need their audience to be on the hook, lest they lose their jobs, so they need to crank it up.
Cranking it up will always lead to another unstable person snapping. If you’re inclined to believe the lies, you believe someone “must do something” to stop the “end of our democracy” or “Hitler part 2” from seizing power. When a crazy person sees something that “must be done” not being done, it’s not a stretch to think at least one of them would think they have to do it themselves.
How many social media videos have you seen of leftists ranting about how “SOMEONE has to take out Trump”? Some have offered advice on how to do it, others have offered to pay the family of the person who does or help smuggle them out of the country. The lack of subtlety and a multi-million-dollar TV contract are the only differences between these people and your average progressive MS Now personality.
But their audience is the same, as is their goal. They want to inspire that “snap” in someone with, as has often been the lament of the Left after a failed assassination attempt against the president, “better aim” or “better planning.”
The “famous” one, of course, doesn’t say this on their shows, but the social media monsters do in their TikToks and Instagrams. Everyone else acts as shocked as they pretend they aren’t angry at another failure.
Just yesterday, one of the leading Democrats running for governor in California, the detestable domestic abuser Katie Porter, used her campaign email list to try to get a few bucks demonizing Stephen Miller. Splitting the take with congressional candidate Robert Garcia, the email read, “Donald Trump’s Administration is committing crimes on a weekly basis. And I’m not afraid to call them out for it. During a recent interview with Pod Save America, I called out Stephen Miller as the ‘biggest piece of s**t in this country.’ He should be ashamed of the way he’s dehumanizing immigrants. And I’m glad to announce that one of my first orders of business as the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee will be to hold him and others in the Trump Administration accountable. If Democrats take back control of the House in the midterm elections, I’ll have even more power to hold these goons accountable.”
Does that sound like people interested in toning down incendiary rhetoric, or hoping one of their mentally ill fellow travelers finally finishes the job?
When the next attempt happens, and it will because Democrats will not let anything stand in the way of them obtaining power, there will be another round of “We may never know the motive behind this,” like Barack Obama tweeted out. It’s not that they don’t get it, it’s that they don’t care. If you are not with them, you are their enemy.
Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman is a very “progressive” guy; he just doesn’t hate Jews, want to destroy Israel and the United States, or actively want to destroy the Senate. President Ronald Reagan famously said, “The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is an 80 percent friend and not a 20 percent enemy.” To the modern Democrat Party, their 99.9 percent friend is their 100 percent enemy, and anything that takes out your enemy is not only justified, it's righteous.
Democrats are dangerous people on a crusade to impose their will on the country, and they’ll do anything to get that done. A little murder in pursuit of that is nothing to people willing to write off friends and family over refusing to obey and conform.
