President Donald Trump has a proven track record of supporting American families, standing for our country’s best interests here and abroad, and getting tough on illegal immigration and violent crime. Isn’t this the leadership that Christian conservatives said they wanted?
Beyond secular policy, President Trump has given people of faith an unprecedented seat at the table. America is a Judeo-Christian nation, and faith is a part of our shared heritage. The Trump Administration has recognized that faith leaders are important stakeholders in policy discussions and representing the needs of the American people.
Do you remember how conservative Christian faith leaders were treated under Biden administration? Christians were persona non grata in the Biden White House unless they were willing to bend to the Progressive agenda. President Trump has established the White House Office of Faith to defend religious liberty and protect the legacy of our nation.
In other words, we are living through an unprecedented time of faith and freedom in America. After decades of Democrat extremists and ineffective Republicans, we are back! There is still much that remains to be done, but the Trump Administration has laid a sound foundation for the return to American values.
You would never know it listening to many Christians. Because Trump is brash and aggressive, because he’s not living like a pastor, because he is focused solely on the monumental task of getting the job done (i.e. saving the country), there are lots of Christians who like to complain.
Ever since Donald Trump descended the escalator announcing his candidacy for president in 2015, there have been conservatives who have vowed never to support him. In 2016, even I was skeptical and chose not to vote for Trump. There were many unknowns for a candidate with no political record.
After the wild ride that was Trump’s turbulent first term, all doubt was removed. Once I, and countless other conservative mothers of faith, saw what Trump was capable of, we decided we would be skipping to the polls to vote for him. And we did, in droves! Yet, somehow, Sleepy Joe and Bidenflation snuck into the Oval Office.
The Biden-Harris Administration should have been the only wake up call that Americans needed to recognize that Trump is the leadership we need. Even if he doesn’t make you feel warm and fuzzy all the time. The Biden-Harris team was a trainwreck from Day One: open borders, weak on crime, out of control inflation, rampant government spending and entitlements, pro-abortion extremism, woke agenda compromising the excellence and lethality of our military. We witnessed the most far-Left policy from the highest office. And the disastrous results will take years to reverse.
The evil brought by Biden and the puppet masters controlling his administration convinced the American people to support Trump in 2023. I was on the ground throughout the election cycle, knocking on doors, meeting with Americans concerned about our future, mobilizing a block of voters who knew their voices were not being heard. The results were clear: Americans wanted sanity, national security, economic growth, and government protection of religious liberty and constitutionally protected God-given rights. A vote for Trump was a vote to save America.
Then something strange happened. After securing victory and handing Trump re-election, the very Christians who cried out for a political leader are raising a new wave of “Never Trumpers.” The “Orange Man Bad” Trump Derangement Syndrome that afflicted liberals is taking hold in Christian circles where people should know better.
In the years since Biden-Harris seized the White House, the situation has not improved in our country. We now have an avowed Socialist elected to public office in New York City. Do you think the Left will stop there? They have shown that they are capable of duping the American public into adopting the disastrous and failed policies of Communism on American soil. That taste of power will undoubtedly galvanize the forces at work to destroy the liberty we have enjoyed for 250 years.
If you don’t want our next president quoting lines from the “Communist Manifesto,” it’s time to start paying attention to the victories coming out of the White House weekly. It’s time to say “thank you” to a president who has tirelessly followed through on campaign promises for secure borders, economic flourishing and opportunity for American families, and the protection of religious liberty.
I sat across from President Trump and witnessed his resolve. He has been so successful at advancing freedom and restoring sanity in government because he means what he says. The task of running for re-election and returning to the Oval Office came at great personal cost. I can tell you: he did it for us. He did it for our country. He did it to preserve freedom and commonsense.
Eight years ago, I quoted Rose Tennet who stated about Trump at a Phyllis Schlafly Eagles Conference, “We didn’t need a Saint, we have plenty of those. We didn’t need a savior, we have the one and only. What we needed was a Bodyguard.” And that is what God gave us!
Wake up, American Christians! Instead of criticizing the very leader you asked for, it’s time to support the man who gave us a voice, to unite for faith and freedom, reclaim our culture, and restore the Republic before it’s too late.
