Well, it is Black History Month, and true to form, Marxist leftists, like Sen. Chuck Schumer, need a tutorial reminder of just who the real purveyors of Jim Crow are. Last week, Schumer, a typical useful idiot, ranted, once again, that voter ID is a return to Jim Crow. Well, Schumer, a member of the Democrat party, should simply be reminded that it was his crew who gave us Jim Crow 1.0. Funny, this past Saturday I reached a milestone, my 65th birthday. Yes, I have crossed the Medicare river, not the river Styx.
It made me reflect upon something.
I was born 65 years ago on February 7, 1961, in a "Blacks only" hospital, Hughes-Spalding in Atlanta, Georgia. I grew up in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood, the same community that produced Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and was the cradle of the American Civil Rights movement. My birth was under the first wave of Jim Crow, courtesy of the political party of the j*****s. However, before we even get to the Jim Crow history of the leftists, what came before that? Yes, immediately after the Civil War, the southern states, in refusal to fully capitulate, Democrats created what was called "Black Codes" from 1865 to 1867. These statutes encompassed labor control and vagrancy laws, which targeted homeless and unemployed Black individuals as a consequence of labor control measures. As a result, they faced arrest and social restrictions. The purpose of these "codes" was to establish a system of racial hierarchy; they served as a prelude to Jim Crow.
Republicans, you know, the folks whose party was established to end slavery, created the 13th (abolishing slavery), 14th (citizenship to former slaves), and 15th (voting rights to former slaves) Amendments. The other fellas were busy creating the Ku Klux Klan, our first domestic terrorist group. The purpose of the Klan was to intimidate Blacks, restrict them from enjoying their newfound freedom, and prevent them from participating in elections. Hmm, some things just never change, huh? When there was a major shift in political control in the late 1800s, Jim Crow came into existence, firmly so in the Democratic-controlled Southern States, and existed from 1876 to 1965. Its legalization occurred in 1896 with Plessy v. Ferguson, which established the absurdity of "separate but equal."
The belief ushered in the era of racial segregation and was the reason why yours truly was born in a "separate but equal" hospital in 1961. As a little boy, I remember driving down south to visit my Grandpa and seeing "separate but equal" bathrooms. Jim Crow brought to us the first instances of electoral disenfranchisement: literacy tests, poll taxes, and "grandfather clauses.” Mind you, none of these were policies of the Republican Party. Matter of fact, it was a Democrat president, Woodrow Wilson, who hosted the epic film about the birth of the KKK called "The Birth of a Nation" in the White House. Just so you know, Republican presidents visited Booker T. Washington's Tuskegee Institute of Normal and Industrial Education and hosted him for a meal in the White House.

I love it when you mention this to leftists, and they will always fall back on the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Yep, the legislation that was filibustered by Senate Democrats, like Al Gore Sr. and Robert Byrd, who was eulogized by Joe Biden. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was passed because of Senate Republicans led by Everett Dirksen. That is why a Senate Office Building is named after him. But Lyndon Johnson was shrewd in realizing how the left could leverage the passing of the 1964 CRA.
Johnson, a known and virulent racist, is believed to have stated this in 1963 to two southern Democrat Governors, "The Negroes, they're getting pretty uppity these days, and that's a problem for us since they've got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we've got to do something about this, we've got to give them something, just enough, to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference...I'll have them n*****s voting Democratic for the next two hundred years.” Johnson is also quoted as saying in response to defending the appointment of Thurgood Marshall to the U.S. Supreme Court to a staff member, "Son, when I appoint a n****r to the court, I want everyone to know he's a n****r.
You can just imagine that if any Republican president had said something of the sort, it would be widely reiterated by the Marxist left. But crickets, now.
See, the Marxist leftists are very good, skilled, and adept at projecting who they are and their history on others. You know, those racist Republicans or those ICE agents who are like the KKK. And like having Chuck Schumer assert that voter ID is a return to Jim Crow, fully well knowing that this was a policy of the Democratic party. A policy that I was born into, but my life did not embrace.
The Marxist left is the purveyor of the soft bigotry of low expectations. Massa and Missy white leftists see us colored folks as just too dumb to be able to attain a picture ID. I guess these fools have not been to an airport lately. Needless to say, especially since Kamala Harris won 12 states without voter ID, this is all about electoral enfranchisement of illegal immigrants, their demographic replacement of Blacks.
Spanish political philosopher George Santayana once quipped, "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
This past Saturday, I remembered and reflected upon my history and my birth. I was born in a segregated hospital 65 years ago in Atlanta, Georgia. The people who created that policy and situation are the real purveyors of Jim Crow. That is why I am not, and will NEVER be, a member of that gang of racists. They are the same people who tell me that I am a “Black white supremacist,” that my owning a home is a weapon of white supremacy, and tell me that "I ain't Black" because I did not vote for them.
They created white supremacy, and in a way, these Marxist elitists are still telling me that they are superior and I am inferior. The policies of victimhood, such as affirmative action, are destructive and relegate Blacks to a new form of metaphysical slavery, that which enslaves the indomitable human spirit of success, achievement, and being a victor!
The Marxist leftists’ choice of a party mascot is so very appropriate.
Steadfast and Loyal.
