OPINION

There is a lot that I don’t understand.

I saw a couple of comments that flew completely over my balding head.

Vice President JD Vance: “I think that Nick Fuentes, his influence within Donald Trump’s administration, and within a whole host of institutions on the right, is vastly overstated,” he said. “Frankly, it’s overstated by people who want to avoid having a foreign-policy conversation about America’s relationship with Israel.” And “99 percent of Republicans, and I think probably 97 percent of Democrats, do not hate Jewish people for being Jewish. What is actually happening is that there is a real backlash to a consensus view in American foreign policy.”

Megyn Kelly: On Ben Shapiro and Bari Weiss: “They are making antisemites. Tucker is not making antisemites. They are.”

Matt Gaetz, regarding the report of his sordid activities involving drugs and underage girls: “It is just an op. And it was an op to silence me, and Israel was involved.” He described how his father was allegedly approached, claiming there were “pictures and images of me with underage prostitutes,” followed by a demand: “We need $25 million…to go and rescue a spy that is being held in Iran. And if you do that, we can make these things about your son go away.”

Where to start? Regarding the vice president’s statements: He recently spoke to someone who claimed that 30-40 percent of young Republicans in the Washington area see themselves as Fuentes’ “groyper” followers. Fuentes himself has claimed that he has infiltrated TPUSA and instilled his ideas over the pro-Jewish teachings of the late Charlie Kirk. The claim that people who see a documented rise in antisemitism in the United States is really the fault of the Jews for noticing the trend is somewhat puzzling. Can someone tell me about anyone “[avoiding]...a foreign policy conversation about America’s relationship with Israel”? Did someone bring it up to Ben Shapiro, and he stormed out of the room? Did someone send a message to Mark Levin, and in response, he sent a very nasty reply? Nobody is trying to avoid anything, except leaders on the Right. One hundred and fifty million people voted in 2024, which represented around 63 percent of eligible voters. By the VP’s own numbers, there are around 6 million Democrats and Republicans who “hate” (his word) Jews for being Jewish. That is so refreshing to know.

Megyn Kelly has gone for the “it was what she was wearing defense” that a rapist might use in court. Shapiro and Weiss, by merely expressing their opinions, are causing widespread antisemitism. Wow, I didn’t know that people were unable to dislike a specific individual without hating his entire class of people. I guess it’s like the late, Jewish, Rodney Dangerfield, saying, “After they sack the quarterback, they go after his whole family.” Because Shapiro and Weiss are unflinchingly proud Jews and firm supporters of Israel, people who had no opinion on the subject are not really anti-Israel but bona fide Jew haters who help their conscience by saying things about the Jewish state. Carlson, in platforming people like Fuentes, Gaetz, and others, is not fanning the flames of antisemitism? By her thinking(?), Dr. Martin Luther King caused enormous hatred of blacks, while the Ku Klux Klan caused zero such hatred. I knew that it was a waste of money going to Harvard. Everything that they taught was backward.

Matt Gaetz was inches from being in Pam Bondi’s job. Then Donald Trump dropped him. He left Congress and became some type of journalist. The report prepared by Congress is apparently filled with stories of drug-fueled parties and activities with underage women. I am glad that it was only a Mossad op and that he really was not involved in such ugly and debased behavior. The Israelis were short 25 mil and couldn’t get through to Dr. Miriam Adelson. So they leaned on Gaetz’s father, and the rest is Carlson history. I’m glad that we cleared that one up.

Do you see where all of this is going: President Gavin Hair Newsom. There is an antisemitism problem in the United States, one of a proportion never seen in the 250-year history of the country. Jews are being harassed, threatened, and attacked because both the Left and Right have said that it’s open season on the Jews. The massive protest with demands for an intifada in front of a New York synagogue—well, I am glad that we have cleared that one up—it was a failure of those inside to discuss a foreign relations issue regarding Israel and not a case of rabid Jew haters of Muslim and leftist losers braying for Jewish blood. Silly me. It was a failed policy discussion and not a desire to express total Jew hatred.

Megyn Kelly has tried for the past year to be everybody’s bestest friend. She professed friendship with Shapiro, Candace Owens, and Carlson. She interviewed two out of the three (not Owens). She certainly can be friends with all three, but she should have also expressed her views on subjects where Shapiro sharply differs from the other two. Shapiro ended the dance last week by calling her failure to make her views known “cowardice,” and she returned the favor by claiming that Shapiro and, of all people, Bari Weiss (what happened to the sisterhood?) were the real causes of antisemitism. That’s kind of funny, because I never heard the CAIR crowd or their soon-to-be thrown off of high buildings lefty friends citing either of the two for their demands for an intifada or an end to Israel. Good to know that it’s the Jews who cause their own Jew hatred, a point previously made by Carlson.

It is no coincidence that the growth of antisemitism on campus and off came after the pogrom of October 7, 2023. Israel should have done in two months what it did in two years. Rather than worry about Palestinian civilians, it should have flattened the strip and not sent in any aid until all of the hostages were released. By running a long campaign, Israel gave Qatar, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Al-Jazeera, and CAIR plenty of time to invent claims of Genocide! Famine! None of it was true, but the endless claims against Israel—including Carlson without evidence saying that Israel intentionally attacked Christian sites—made anti-Jewish rallies grow and become more vitriolic. Only now, Australia is banning “globalize the intifada” after the intifada arrived in Sydney and took 15 lives with it. But, our “conservative friends” say it’s no problem because it’s us Jews avoiding a needed policy discussion or causing antisemitism by merely breathing.

After the Anschluss, in Vienna, the Jews were forced to clean the streets and sidewalks with toothbrushes. While Herman Goering’s righteous brother took a toothbrush and joined in the activity, the fat field marshal put a 1 billion mark fine on the post-Kristallnacht Jewish community—because it was their fault that his brownshirts had to show up and burn synagogues, destroy Jewish-owned businesses, and drag several thousand Jews (including my grandfather) off to Dachau. The Jews, then and now, are the cause of the hatred toward them. Interesting that the far longer war in Ukraine has not caused protests on the streets against Ukraine. Isn’t Zelensky so annoying that people will start to hate his country? No. The self-induced hatred is apparently a Jewish patent.

JD Vance, with respect to Israel, reminds me of Barack Obama. He does not have a lifetime attachment to Jews and Israel that Donald Trump has. He sees it like Malaysia or New Zealand. We do business based on our interests, and that is certainly reasonable. Israel better enjoy the next three years because there will be no sympathetic ear in the White House when Donald Trump retires to play golf as his heart desires.
