Reporting on the Mirror – CONDÉ NAST PUBLISHING
Whoever put this meltdown out on the internet, thank you.
We have been covering the shenanigans taking place at Condé Nast all week. It began with the news that Teen Vogue was all but being dissolved. Then came news that staffers from other outlets under the company were complaining to such an extent that they also ended up losing their jobs.
Well, today we have a video released of the exchange that led to the firings, and it is as insufferable as could be expected. These are workers operating with a sense of entitlement and privilege that they do not possess, and it is encouraging to finally see management no longer tolerating these cranks.
They should play this video in the lobby of the offices in order to deliver a message to the rest of the staff.

Newseum Art Installation – THE DAILY MAIL
Ah, the reason for their nonsense is starting to make more sense.
As more is learned about these firings, we now see that they were members of the "protected" LGBTπ community, and thus, entitlement was, of course, built into the formula.
We will send out letters of gratitude to both @DailyMail and @CondeNast Publishing for this donation.

Pre-Written Field Reports – GQ MAGAZINE
Mixing condescension and her vocal fry takes this to all-new lows.
Sydney Sweeney has been all over social media this week for her response and facial reactions to an interviewer. While the actress earns plaudits for her unwavering un-woke position, we want to focus on the interviewer.
This was Katherine Stoeffel of GQ Magazine challenging Sweeney, and she approached the topic regarding the "controversial" jeans ad campaign for American Eagle. In an effort to either trap the actress or compel an apology from her, Stoeffel, in her schoolgirl diction filled with "like" and "ya know" to insufferable levels, tried to paint Sweeney into a corner of guilt:
The criticisms were that maybe white people shouldn't joke about genetic superiority ... I just wanted to allow you to talk about that specifically.
Sydney brushed off the question and did not even entertain an answer. But let's be honest about what took place here.
This was not what was seen on the surface. Yes, Stoeffel tried to position this as a white supremacy issue, but having this presented by a very lily-white interviewer is patently ridiculous. This was an attempt to belittle and possibly cancel Sweeney in the name of feminism. While we are told to celebrate and hail women's power, this is a case where a woman is attempted to be brought down, all because she is being celebrated mostly by men, and for all of the "wrong" reasons.
NEW: Sydney Sweeney refuses to apologize for the American Eagle jeans ad after GQ's Katherine Stoeffel continuously tried to get her to cave.

Stoeffel: I mean, Trump tweeted about the jeans ad ... that just seems like a very crazy moment...
Sweeney: It was surreal.

Artisanally-Crafted Narratives – MSNBC
Your lack of evidence for this claim is certainly beguiling.
At the soon-to-be-rechristened network, they are still attempting to spike the football over the Tuesday election results. That this is attempted by people who probably describe it as "sportsing" should explain how well it is going.
In the aftermath, the galaxy brains at MSNBC offered up their conclusions about what drove the results; it was anger over the construction of the White House ballroom! You just twisted your head like a dog hearing a harmonica, didn't you?
Yes, this analysis is beyond a stretch, but we need to understand the challenge they faced. It is not like they could just come out and admit that communism was on the ballot, after all. That would look horrendous on the chyron and serve as unneeded fodder for their political opponents!

Gilded Reframe – MSNBC
Now, Chris, did you get DNC approval for this narrative shift?
On the Jon Stewart podcast "The Weekly Show," Chris Hayes gave detailed (tortured?) explanations about the Democratic Party's efforts regarding the government shutdown. In doing so, he managed to bring some conflicting interpretations.
Not to quibble, but getting back to the "sportsing" comment, Hayes was attempting to coach the Dems, and announced that they need to take some risks, because they are playing from behind. Stewart chimed in at this point, "You're saying, 'Don't play prevent defense,'" to which Hayes agreed. Oh, brother…
Prevent is the manner of defense that is normally seen when you are ahead, and trying to keep the opponent from getting a quick score. But again, these are not exactly sports-savvy minds. But then he went on:
“I think the risk calculation of the Democratic Party, its leadership, generally, is too risk averse. And let me just say one last thing. The shutdown is a great example. They have pursued a fairly high leverage and high risk strategy around the shutdown, and I think it has redounded to their benefit. I think the higher risk, higher leverage strategy they pursued has been rewarded, and I think that should be a lesson for everyone about what your general risk profile is.”
So now we are admitting that this was all a calculated move by the Democrats. Which means they are to blame for the shutdown.
Which…any objective journalist should have surmised from Day One.
