They were all “blue” states that voted on November 4, so we can’t really be surprised at the results. Not surprised, but still, I can’t help being somewhat disappointed. There seems to be no bottom to the debauched pit the Democrats want to drag the country into.
We elected Donald Trump as President last year, and he has done a lot of good things for the country. There has been much opposition to him; we expected that. Some of it has been violent. Given the Left’s history, we anticipated that, too. But we—or at least I—had some hopes. After ten months of the good things Trump has done for the country, there was hope that maybe, just maybe, some people were being converted, some hearts were being changed, some Americans were starting to see the difference between the “right” and the “left,” between good and evil, starting to see cause and effect. And maybe some are. I certainly don’t know the heart of every American.
But if hearts are being changed, that wasn’t in evidence on November 4. The Republicans, Trump, got slaughtered. New Jersey even elected an Attorney General who publicly said he wanted to kill his rivals and their children. One town in Pennsylvania elected a transgender mayor. New York City, the largest city in the country, elected a MUSLIM, MARXIST mayor.
Folks, you can’t get more un-American history than a Muslim, Marxist mayor. But we’ve always said anybody in America can become President, and this guy might prove that old cliché to be accurate very soon.
So, did the country elect Trump President last year or did we reject Kamala Harris, who was easily the stupidest, most incompetent candidate any political party has ever nominated for President? I’m reading some Democrats now who are saying they should have stayed with Biden. Maybe they should have. A demented Biden isn’t as dumb as Kamala Harris.
But, for whatever reason, the country elected Trump. However—and, again, this is not surprising—four blue states, which hate him fiercely, rejected him overwhelmingly on November 4, even to the point of electing a man who dreams of murdering his political opponents.
Murdering political opponents is not new for Leftists, in case you were wondering, so that really isn’t a surprise, either. You just wish and hope for better things in America. Apparently, they are getting worse, not better.
America has no excuse for what it is doing. The economics of Marxism, the cause and effect of immoral promiscuity, the hatred and violence of Leftism are clearly, and often, written in the pages of history. So, we have no excuse. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge,” God wrote through the prophet Hosea some 2700 years ago. History certainly does sometimes repeat itself, or at least, often contains interesting parallels. Laws—scientific or moral—cannot be violated without (eventual) devastating consequences. No people have ever learned that, which is why…history keeps repeating itself.
About two generations ago, we turned the education system over to the Left. And we are witnessing the results today. We taught our children Darwinian naturalism instead of divine creation, and our children were smart enough to figure out the implications of that. If the Bible isn’t true, if there were no Adam and Eve, if there was no flood of Noah (even Jesus mentioned Noah as a true, historical person); if all of those Bible tales are just legends and not “history” and “science,” then that means the God of Judeo-Christianity is not the “God” of the universe. “Science” proves it. Jesus was a fake or a liar or a lunatic.
So young people fled churches in droves and began to look for something else to believe in and live for. And there is no agreement yet on what that should be, and there never will be, for why is one human’s opinion on the universe any better than any other’s? Why should I believe you? I’ll create my own “god,” thank you very much.
And that is basically what people have done. “Every man does that which is right in his own eyes.” People have created their own “god,” in their own image, who will allow them to do whatever they want to do. And who condemns the things they don't like? There isn’t one God in America anymore; there are almost 350 million.
That kind of division and confusion can only lead to the chaos we are seeing in the country now. There is some truth, I suppose, to the old adage “united we stand, divided we fall,” and there is no unity in America today. Plus, there is the cause and effect of which I spoke earlier. History, science, and plain old common sense teach that certain causes will lead to certain inevitable effects. It’s unavoidable, and knowable.
No, there are not 350 million gods; there is still only One. And He has established certain moral laws which are “causes” that also have “effects.” Violating those moral laws will eventually lead to catastrophic results. America is finding that out now, and will continue to do so as long as so many of her people reject those moral laws for ones they create themselves.
Donald Trump still has three more years as President of the United States. I’ve said all along, you don’t clean up four years of sewage spread all over the country in just a few months. It’s going to take a long time—if it can ever be done—to undo, not only four years of Biden and eight years of Obama, but generations of godless, immoral, Leftist decadence and lies. Maybe Trump, in the next three years, can begin the process of converting American hearts back to truth and righteousness.
But it certainly wasn’t in evidence this past Tuesday.
