News Avoidance Syndrome – VARIOUS OUTLETS
If only he gave indications of these positions all the time.
The media had been doing their best to prop up Zohran Mamdani, working diligently to not report accurately on his disturbing Communist positions. In fact, many times the press would bristle and push back against those willing to call him out for his Communist positions and commentary.
CNN's Laura Coates on Zohran Mamdani: "He's not a communist, he's a democratic socialist."

Byron Donalds: "Explain what the difference is."

And then the man comes out and destroys all of the defenses made on his behalf. After he was declared the winner, Mamdani gave his acceptance speech, and the very first words from him were a quote from noted Communist activist and union lobbyist Eugene Debs. And then he delivered a comment that was seen as deeply disturbing to many, save for the heavily devout.
His views on what government needs to be involved should be heard as chilling to anyone favoring liberty.

Gilded Reframe – CNN
The funny thing is how he sounds surprised.
The press, as we mentioned, has done heavy work both covering for Mamdani and serving up knee-jerk defenses on behalf of the man. That response, made by rote, led to a curious reality: some were actually surprised by the things he said once the election was secured and he no longer had to posture as a centrist.
A prime example of this was Van Jones, who listened to Mamdani's speech on Tuesday and was not too thrilled by what he heard – mostly because he refused to hear what people said about Mamdani the months before Tuesday night.
CNN's Van Jones was not a fan of Zohran Mamdani's angry, far-left, rage-filled victory speech:

Borderline Obsessives – WGN CHANNEL 9 NEWS
It seems clear they have no interest in delivering the whole story.
The Chicago affiliate delivered a tale of ICE agents storming a daycare center and hauling out a teacher in front of horrified children inside. A local official added to the drama:
“ICE agents followed her in and violently detained her. There was a child inside, they identified it as a school. Her sister was on site and showed her paperwork. ICE took her away, nevertheless,” said Ald. Martin.
And, as we have come to learn, there is far more to the story. WGN had to add the official statement from DHS, explaining the details.
The agents engaged the woman's vehicle, previously intending a traffic stop, but the male driver sped off. They were pursued to the location, and the pair fled into the daycare location. So, no, ICE agents are not storming random schools looking for possible detainees.
Also going underreported is the idea of daycare facilities hiring illegal aliens to care for children.

Both Kinds of Standards – POLITICO MAGAZINE
"You know that thing we are condemning? It should have been done better, and the next Democrat should do more of it!"
For months now, we have beheld the press delivering angry lectures that Trump is performing "retribution" on his political opponents (all while not admitting what his revenge would be over), and that it is unacceptable that he is politicizing the DOJ.
Now, in amazing fashion, Politico does a complete 180 on the subject. Citing a recent book release, reporter Ankush Khardori bemoans the fact that former Attorney General Merrick Garland did not apply enough pressure on Donald Trump. We guess four indictments were not nearly enough.
And then Khardori blasts apart all of the current wave of concerns seen in the press these days. He goes on to declare this book supplies "critical lessons for a future administration that wants to focus on serious legal accountability for powerful political figures."
So the targeting of political adversaries is only wrong if Trump is doing it, and it should be ramped up when Democrats are in power. Just brilliant.
COLUMN: The failure to hold Trump accountable for Jan. 6 has lessons for Democrats.

A new book underscores how Dems can avoid Merrick Garland’s mistakes the next time they hold power, writes our legal columnist Ankush Khardori. https://t.co/i3QzLxEk0P
