I never really liked Democrats – how can anyone like people who are wrong all the time and learn nothing from it? You can’t, really. But many of them seemed pretty harmless, mostly just bodies existing more than people actively fighting to damage the country and American citizens. That is no longer the case.
Of all the Democrats in Congress and in office across the country, there is only one who doesn’t seem to be actively attempting to harm America and Americans and that is Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman. What does it say about a political party that the only member who demonstrates decency and common sense is the guy who had verifiable brain damage? Fetterman had a massive stroke. What is Chuck Schumer’s excuse?
Schumer and Nancy Pelosi’s puppet Hakeem Jeffries are acting with clear minds, which means they are happily and deliberately trying to damage the country, and there’s only one reason a Democrat does anything: to damage the country in pursuit of their agenda.
Remember when some Democrats, Bill Maher among them, were rooting for a recession in the 2020 election because they thought it would help Democrats? Did you think that was a fluke or an outlier? It’s a policy; a directive – if it can hurt Donald Trump, even if it hurts millions of Americans, it is a good thing and it's OK to do. More than that, it is required to do it.
Personally, I know very few people impacted by the government shutdown directly. I have a bunch of friends who are “essential personnel” in various departments who are so high-ranking they must show up, but they’re also financially responsible in their personal lives so they’ll be fine throughout this shutdown.
I also recognize that, while they are not unique, there are a lot of people who aren’t as lucky or able to budget a nest egg.
Entry-level government employees are screwed. The salaries aren’t large – unless you’re rich, you need roommates or to live far away from DC. It’s hard for me to have sympathy for any of that. I lived in Baltimore just out of college because I was in the same boat and had no interest in roommates, so Baltimore and an hour train ride was all I could afford. People do what they have to do and always find a way, if they actually want to.
Still, going from living paycheck to paycheck to having no paycheck is not easy. I was able to sell CDs or DVDs to get some cash in a pinch, but you can’t hock digital copies of anything, so I don’t know what people can do aside from rack up credit card debt. They can thank Democrats for that. Remember that next time they want to “forgive” whatever loan they eyeball next, that there’s a better than average chance they’re responsible for the debt in the first place.
Fetterman, on the other hand, is the exception. While every Democrat stands in front of a camera pretending to give a crap about people they swear they are the champion of, Pennsylvania’s senior Senator (seriously, they’re both so new he’s the longest-serving one) is the only one who has consistently voted to help those people, be it through keeping the government open, reopening it, and other things like closing the border so Americans aren’t losing jobs to illegal aliens.
How did a party go from the self-professed “party of the working man” to a party that doesn’t even know what a man is?
The downward spiral of being the party of unions to being funded by billionaires and union bosses will be the subject of study in the future, but right now, they’re fighting for their existence, as the radicals now control the show and every other Democrat is too terrified to say anything; to stand up for sanity and reality…except one.
I worry some leftist is going to try to kill John Fetterman, as these people have the “coexist” bumper stickers on their hybrids, ironically, even though they don’t know what that word means. I hope he has security, or there’s some Kevlar woven into that hoodie, as pretty much every political assassination has been an unhinged leftist unhappy with how someone was treating their fellow progressives or some radical policy objective.
There’s no reason to think their craziness can be contained, especially when they’re stoking it at every chance they get. Be careful, Senator Fetterman, and stay strong – you're the last decent Democrat there is.
