Some lines are being drawn between two global forces, one for good and the other for destruction.
Imagine a family with a very ungrateful child. He never listens, he intentionally destroys property, and when he speaks, he can only condemn his parents in the most vile of terms. Next door lives a child of about the same age who is an angel on Earth. He sees his neighbor with grocery bags and runs out to help. Snow falls and he removes the mounds of powder from his driveway and his neighbor’s. The father almost feels that this neighbor’s kid is more of a son than the biological offspring who is a monster.
When I look at Israel and the world, I see two basic camps that are not necessarily based on religion, nationality, or color. There are people who want a better world, one based on religious values and clear concepts of right and wrong. On the opposite side are the destroyers who want to undo the world we grew up in and move things towards a Marxist and/or Sharia state, whichever gets to the finish line first. The upshot of it all is that one may understand less a brother than a stranger on the other side of the world.
On the same day that a technically Jewish actress trashed Israel at the Emmy Awards and wore a pin that glorified the murder of two Israeli Jews in Ramallah (“the lynch”), Christian American leaders Marco Rubio and Mike Huckabee were extolling the bonds between Israel and the United States. Whereas a leftist Jew at a pro-Hamas rally can scream that Israel is committing a genocide, Christians like Tommy Robinson and the late Charlie Kirk would make it clear that Israel is in the right and must destroy the demonic Hamas cult. Shouldn’t all the Jews be on one side? The sad answer is no. While every Jew is a brother or sister, the values and views held by a majority of left-leaning American Jews have removed them from the pale of traditional Jewish values and outlook. While not all pro-Israel Jews are orthodox, one will notice that orthodox Jews support Donald Trump, the Republican party, and their traditional values and support for Israel at around a 90 percent clip. While the group is relatively small compared to other ethnic groups like blacks and Hispanics, I don’t know if any group has a higher percentage of support for the president and his policies.
The reasons for such support are obvious. Orthodox Jews want a traditional society. They are not interested in being forced to educate their children about homosexuality and “trans.” Big orthodox communities are generally in large cities, so they want safe streets and thriving economies. Much of Jewish liturgy makes reference to Jerusalem and the days when the two Temples stood in the Holy City. When American orthodox Jews see Christians Rubio and Huckabee praising Israel and the relationship of Jews with Jerusalem for thousands of years, he feels gratitude and pride. The occasion of their most recent speeches was the opening of a “Pilgrims Road” in the City of David. During the days of the Temples, Jews came to Jerusalem for the three major holidays. These pilgrims came to the Temple to offer sacrifices. This old/new exhibit is a remembrance of those days when thousands upon thousands came to Jerusalem to celebrate Passover or the Feast of the Tabernacles (Sukkot). Two Christian men stood side by side with Bibi Netanyahu and the other Israeli officials present, while the Hamas wing of the American Jewish community would scream that they were on stolen land—though the Temples stood well before Islam came into existence. As one looks around the world, he sees Jews and Christians and also many Muslims (like in the UAE) who realize that the world order is too precious to be destroyed by the left-Islam tornado that is ripping through the Western world. The Arab countries have few Western lefties and they actively ban the Muslim Brotherhood and open support for Hamas. In Europe, can a day go by without a new video of Muslims defacing public property or harassing the locals? The left has hitched its wagon with the anti-Western Muslims, because they see more common cause in destroying the West than over quibbling about throwing gays off of tall buildings or beating one’s multiple wives.

The alliance that returned Donald Trump to the presidency and is stirring Europeans to fight against the loss of their culture and history is made up of people from disparate backgrounds. Orthodox Jews believe that the MAGA program is the best for the United States and for Jews living there. When we are attacked by right-leaning talking heads, it is as if they are saying that we don’t need you. Orthodox Jews would rather wear a red MAGA hat than join their progressive brethren who promote anti-Torah policies and ideology. We are brothers, but our relationship does not force us to join with destructive forces against the greatest country in the world and one that has treated its Jewish citizens better than any other. My parents were very proud to become American citizens after leaving Nazi Germany behind.
Jews, Christians and Muslims have different religious concepts and beliefs. But such a situation does not prevent civically like-minded people from joining to preserve and advance the interests of a safe, successful and values-filled society. Leftists think that crime is good because it is unfair to put criminals in jail, thus creating the destructive no-cash bail program. Those who value society realize that a lot of criminals need to be put away so that the other 98 percent of society can enjoy parks and city centers. If the left and/or Muslims become ascendant, we will no longer recognize the countries in which we live. The left has no positive program for making a better world. As we saw under Joe Biden and presently see with Keir Starmer, everything they touch gets worse. A Sharia state would brook no dissent: convert or else. Those who have joined forces to preserve and protect the freedoms we until now took for granted realize that this is not a drill. If the forces of the left and the unrelenting arrival of illegal immigrants who despise the West are not stopped, then the game is over. It is like the prospect of Brits having to learn German had Hitler succeeded in his planned amphibious assault of the British Isles (Operation Sea Lion).
When Iran fired missiles and drones at Israel in both rounds of conflagration, the UAVs were shot down by British, French and American navies as well as Saudi, UAE, and Jordanian air defenses. Not one of these countries other than the U.S. likes Israel much, and Saudi Arabia has no relations, but they all shot down the drones because they realized that they and Israel are on the same side versus violent Islam and its goal of upending the world order. It’s the coalition of the willing, and its members transcend countries, religions, races and age groups. Young white men voted for Donald Trump in very high numbers, while many blacks have expressed support for the president’s efforts to restore law and order to Democrat-controlled cities. Jews and those who don’t like Israel can both support policies that include a closed border, removed illegal aliens, lower taxes, a strong and nimble military, and an active U.S. presence in world affairs. We don’t have to agree on everything; we only have to realize that the alternative, whether Marxist destruction or Sharia control, is far worse than what we have today. The lines drawn today have less to do with nation state and religions and more to the vision for the future of the world.
