Anti-Social Media – MSNBC

  • You could have behaved like a decent human being, Jen – you chose the opposite.

With the news of a shooting at a Catholic School in Minnesota (for now, as it is sure to soon disappear from the news networks since the killer was a trans individual who was virulently anti-Trump), we have many instances of left-wing activism on full display.

As always, it is hard to pick a “worst” offender, but Jenn Psaki did her level best for consideration.

All we can say in response is that we pray that she remains on the air at MSNBC, as she is doing well to take that network’s reputation down even lower.

Pre-Written Field Reports – CNN

  • You see what they say when you Ass-U-Me things, right?

With the news that Cracker Barrel has walked back its decision to alter its logo and revamp the interior of its restaurants, CNN could not simply report on the negative reaction from customers. No, because this is 2025, and EVERYTHING has to be politicized (remember, we had a Nazi jeans commercial.)

So now the company has decided to change its mind on the rebranding as a result of a “right-wing backlash.”

A couple of things to note. This post has been ratioed significantly, and the reporter Marishah Maruf has locked down her account. This is a result of both the site and the journalist being flooded with responses showing that the adverse reaction to the Cracker Barrel change has come from both sides of the political aisle.

That is, unless we are now considering the Democratic Party to be “right-wing”.

A Pounce of Prevention – ASSOCIATED PRESS

  • Okay, gang, if opposing crime is considered a political gambit, then what do you call opposing crime prevention?

It has been curious - bordering on mystifying - the way that the Democrats have been strongly opposed to the effort to lower the crime rate in Washington, D.C. It has been clear that they, and the press, are very bothered that not only has President Trump sent troops to the capital, but that it has been successful.

The AP recognizes a need to recalibrate its approach because the last thing an honest and fact-based news syndicate wants to do is present an accurate story that portrays the president in a favorable light. So, not only does the AP lapse into using the “siezed” trope, but they also try framing this not as a policy that Trump has made a priority, but as an issue that has come up and he is reacting to after the fact.

Blue-Anon – NEW YORK TIMES

  • Hopefully, he’ll get it right soon!

It has been unreal how Peter Baker of the New York Times has made the D.C. crime story his issue to bring down President Trump. For weeks now, he has been railing against this effort, and despite the successes, he clings to opposing the move.

Despite being repeatedly wrong on this position, Baker has been unwavering, as he now tries to say that a drop in restaurant reservations is the real result, not the drop in numerous major crime statistics, and nearly two weeks seen without a homicide in the district.

Democratic Custodial Services – CNN

  • How about incompetence? Would you like to speculate on that?

One other thing the press has been worked up about is the string of politicians getting targeted by the Trump DOJ for mortgage fraud. You know, the very thing the Biden DOJ tried hanging on Trump?!

The latest involves seeing Lisa Cook being removed from The Fed, as she played the gambit of claiming two homes as her primary residence to secure favorable loans. CNN looked at this move and came to a ridiculously incurious conclusion.

  • A CNN review of mortgage documents shows that Cook took out mortgages for two properties, both of which were listed as her principal residence. However, it’s not known why she did so or if she did so intentionally.

It is hard to believe the network would grant this level of deniability to a Republican (like Donald Trump.) It’s harder to believe they would attempt this excuse-making, given that Cook is highly unlikely to have committed an error, given that she made these housing purchases two weeks apart.
