Legalized Press-titution – CNN

  • Equating a Jewish socialist to the Pontiff is certainly a choice.

Dana Bash sat down with Bernie Sanders to give a fawning, glowing interview that was, quite frankly, uncomfortable to watch.

At one point, Ms. Bash equates Bernie’s popularity to that of the Pope, en route to her prodding the commie codger to run for president once again.

Of note, she did not, unlike with President Trump, express concern over Bernie’s age as a potential leader of the nation.

Pre-Written Field Reports – CNN

  • Apparently, they had gone nearly two days since invoking that date, so it was due to be mentioned.

As President Trump has taken on the duty of securing the safety on the streets of D.C., the press is, of course, outraged at this move. The denials of the crime-ridden nature of the city and the claim that this is a hostile, militarized takeover by the government abound.

In her assessment of the move, Dana Bash saw the need to dredge up what she thought was a disqualifying detail: During his first term, Trump never sent in the National Guard in D.C. for January 6!

News Avoidance Syndrome – NBC NEWS

  • For an intelligence correspondent, he is severely lacking in intel reports.

Ken Dilanian was among those barking over Trump’s D.C. move as he rested on the canard that crime statistics in the district have been down for some time.

Now, technically, Ken is correct in one aspect, in that the statistics do show a drop in crime. The issue is with the statistics. To help out the journalist who is actually stationed in D.C. I will supply him with some context, in the form of news reporting that has taken place. It seems the police commander was caught cooking the books and was disciplined over this fraud, just a few weeks ago, Ken.

Prose & Contradiction – WASHINGTON POST

  • The city is so well that residents will only comment on the safety anonymously.

The Washington Post, of course, got in on the D.C. “takeover” and had a rather disqualifying nugget deep in its lengthy explainer on why this was not necessary. The paper relied on those same fractured statistics, but the best part was the passage from a resident.

At the very end of the piece, we get the negating details as they quoted one individual who declared the city was very safe – and promptly listed off crimes taking place, and declined to use their name – out of fear of violent reprisals…in the entirely safe and secure district.

Pre-Written Field Reports – CNN

  • When you try nailing someone with an inflatable mallet.

Jake Tapper had on Texas Governor Greg Abbott to discuss the ramifications of the Democrats leaving the state and how he may replace the vacating Democrats' seats.

Jake thought he had the governor pinned down regarding the issue with Rep. Kay Granger, who was discovered to have developed dementia while in office and had been missing from her job duties for weeks. Tapper brought up how Abbott had little to say then and took no action, and you can see where the governor takes Jake’s hand and walks him through the particulars.

Abbott explained that he is dealing with state legislature representatives, who fall under his authority, while Granger was a member of Congress, and that was an issue for the national authorities to contend with at that time.

Both Kinds of Standards – BBC

  • So THEY provided no proof, but your lack of proof is no issue?

There is a dose of outrage in the press regarding the issue that some “journalists” in Gaza have been recently reduced to non-respirational status. They were said to be Al Jazeera reporters, but in at least one case, of the man Anas al-Sharif, it was certainly an individual with close ties to Hamas, and indications are he was leading a local cell.

The BBC does contend this reporter was part of the Hamas journalism faction, but reporter Jon Donnison questions some of these contentions, as they are delivered by the IDF, even though the Israelis say they obtained documents showing the connections.

  • The Israeli military insists that it has evidence that Sharif "served as the head of a terrorist cell" in Hamas. But it produced little evidence to support that claim.

Then Donnison goes on to claim that Sharif had been critical of Hamas on social media. Yet, much like the IDF, he provided little evidence to support his contention. How about that?
