Securing Our Future: How Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill Puts America First Again

For far too long, Washington served everyone but the American people. We shipped our jobs overseas, opened our borders to chaos, and caved to foreign adversaries like the Chinese Communist Party. That era is over. With President Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill,” we are restoring America’s sovereignty, rebuilding our strength, and delivering a legislative victory for the working men and women of this country. I was proud to vote yes on this bill.

This isn’t just another bill. It is a declaration of independence from the globalist policies that hollowed out our communities and compromised our security. It is a bold return to the America First agenda: strong borders, secure supply chains, and a government that works for its own people.

Let’s start with border security, an issue that I know all too well in Arizona.

President Trump promised to finish the wall, and this bill makes good on that promise. It fully funds the completion of the southern border wall, reinstates the “Remain in Mexico” policy, and gives ICE the resources it needs to do its job. No more catch and release. No more sanctuary loopholes. No more fentanyl pouring into our towns while Washington looks the other way. This bill closes the gates that Joe Biden left wide open.

National security is not just about border patrol. It is about keeping our enemies out of our markets, our universities, and our farmland. Trump’s bill bans foreign adversaries, including companies tied to the Chinese Communist Party, from buying American farmland. That’s right: no more Chinese land grabs near military bases. No more CCP shell companies snapping up American agriculture. We are reclaiming our soil and our sovereignty.

The bill also imposes tough new restrictions on Chinese nationals accessing sensitive technology through student visas. For too long, we’ve allowed the CCP to send “students” to our universities who then funnel American research back to Beijing. This bill stops that cold and enhances security reviews for all foreign student visa programs.

But this bill isn’t just about defense. It is about offense. It strengthens America’s economy, empowers our workers, and reduces our dependence on nations that hate us.

That’s why the bill revives American manufacturing with smart tariffs and supply chain reforms. It rewards companies that bring production home. It fast-tracks energy permits for American oil, gas, and nuclear projects while blocking taxpayer subsidies for unreliable foreign solar panels made by slave labor in China. Energy independence is national security. Period.

And unlike the fake “infrastructure” bills of the past, this one actually builds infrastructure with American materials and American workers. Roads, bridges, broadband—all made in the USA. This is how we rebuild America’s middle class: not with handouts, but with paychecks.

Critics will say it’s too bold, too aggressive, too nationalistic. To that I say: good. The American people are tired of playing defense while our adversaries play offense. They’re tired of funding wars overseas while our own borders are in shambles. They’re tired of being told that standing up for their own country is somehow “divisive.”

President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill is not about division. It is about unity. It unites American workers with American farmers, American energy producers with American families, and American parents with a government that finally listens to them again. It reorients our government to its rightful mission: protecting our people, promoting our prosperity, and defending our way of life.

We’ve seen what globalism brings: fentanyl in our schools, CCP drones in our skies, and working-class jobs sent to sweatshops in Shanghai. Enough. This bill puts the world on notice. America is done being taken advantage of.

I was proud to vote yes. I stood with President Trump, with our workers, with our border agents, and with every American who still believes this country is worth fighting for.

The Big Beautiful Bill is not just a legislative win. It is a signal to the world. The America First movement is not going anywhere, and neither is President Donald J. Trump.
