The brutal murders of Minnesota Democratic state Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, at their Minnesota home is the logical and tragic consequence of Democratic politicians ramping up the violent language and political theater in which they’ve increasingly engaged since Donald Trump came on the political scene ten years ago. Sadly, the Democratic chickens, to channel Jeremiah Wright, have come home to roost.
The murders of the Hortmans, and the near murders of Minnesota state Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, five miles away, apparently were committed by the same suspect, Vance Luther Boulter. Bizarrely, Boulter had been appointed to a government board by none other than Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. In his letter of appointment, Walz wrote: “Because of the special trust and confidence I have in your integrity, judgment, and ability, I have appointed and commissioned you to have and to hold the office of Business Member, GOVERNOR’S WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD.”
The horrific murders of these Minnesota politicians follow a common violent arc.
It is the arc that saw US Senator Chuck Schumer outrageously calling for violence to be visited upon two US Supreme Court Justices, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, on the steps of the Supreme Court in March 2020 following the Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which sent abortion laws back to the states. Schumer famously said, in rhetoric that borders on felonious, “I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”
It is the same arc that saw Antifa protesters, Black Lives Matter adherents, and generally violent nihilistic leftists, inflict mass destruction on cities across the United States following the death from a drug overdose and heart failure of convicted felon George Floyd, while in police custody for passing counterfeit currency. The mayhem, fully endorsed by prominent Democratic leaders nationwide, resulted in an estimated $2 billion in property damage, as cities were demolished and set aflame. A report by a police organization reported that between May 25 and July 31, 2020, 16,241 protesters and rioters were arrested across the country, seventeen percent of them for felonies. Few of them would be prosecuted. Estimates vary, but at least 25 people died in the Democrat-promoted “Summer of Love” protests.

The litany of violence committed by leftists over the past decade in the United States is seemingly endless. But suddenly, with the shocking shootings of Democratic legislators by a fellow Democrat, apparently upset over political issues, Democratic politicians in Washington, DC are “in a panic”. Welcome to the party, pals.
According to the leftie Axios, “The shootings have deeply unnerved members of Congress, who feel that any one of them could be the subject of an unanticipated attack – particularly at home in their districts and while in transit.” The article notes that now, suddenly, many Democratic members of Congress “are renewing a push for greater security, arguing for their own details, greater safety measures at their and at airports and more stringent measures to hide their sensitive details.”
Although Vance Boulter’s motivations in shooting Rep. Horman, Sen. Hoffman and their spouses are still being sorted, it appears his actions were politically motivated. Rep. Hortman had bravely opposed her party by voting recently with Republicans to end free healthcare for illegal aliens in the state of Minnesota. Additionally, flyers advertising the “No Kings” leftist political protests taking place across the country on June 14 were reportedly found in Boulter’s car.
Do you think Senator Alex Padilla ever pondered how his performative physical attack on DHS Secretary Kristi Noem just two days before Boulter’s murderous rampage, in which Padilla had to be physically tackled to the ground and handcuffed by Noem’s security personnel, might have contributed to Boulter’s homicidal state of mind?
The Axios article noted that in the wake of the Minnesota political killings, Sen. Chuck Schumer has “asked for increased security for Sens. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and Tina Smith (D-Minn.).” Has Senator Schumer considered how his widely broadcast speech calling for Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh to “reap the whirlwind” and be “hit” by something they won’t see coming, might have influenced Boulter, or at least contributed to the current violent Democratic zeitgeist?
We all should be shocked by the Minnesota murders, but it is one political party vastly responsible for the climate in which they were committed. It’s not the party of the elephants.
