BlueAnon – MSNBC

  • Yeah, about your reporting there, Mrs. Journalist…

The old adage “this did not age well” does not apply to Jen Psaki’s attempted mockery of President Trump last night, entirely because it never even had the chance to age. Jen was trying to ridicule Trump over the idea that, despite his bluster, he has not struck any trade deals with any nations, despite his “Art of the Deal” persona. Yes, we already see flaws in her snark.

She avoids how he already had deals in place with Mexico and Canada months ago over border issues, how a number of countries have come to him to renegotiate plans, and that many of his announced tariffs have been altered or taken down, with many nations announcing alterations to their tariffs or other economic proposals.

But the best was that her program had barely concluded when the announcement came out that the White House was set to announce a landmark new trade policy with the United Kingdom.

Just some Grade-A punditry there, Jenny — top notch stuff.

Demo-lition Project – MSNBC

  • Nope, still sinking — you need to rearrange more deck chairs!

Speaking of Jen’s newly revamped show, “The Briefing with Jen Psaki,” it is not going over well with the dwindling MSNBC audience. You recall that weeks ago, the network announced some wholesale lineup changes, with some talent let go and a reconfiguring of the schedule both in primetime and on weekends.

After Trump crossed his 100 Days mark, it meant that Rachel Maddow was backing off of her five-days a week grind to just working Mondays. So, Jen is taking the 9 pm slot four nights a week. More unbelievable is the new show replacing Joy Reid — of all flawed hosts — is pulling in HALF of her old numbers!

Prose & Contradiction – ABC NEWS

  • And suddenly the evidence we have seen of intolerance for years now becomes an implied problem.

We probably do not need to see any more evidence than this that the press just reflexively takes the opposing side of anything said by President Trump or the Republicans. GOP members on the Hill are engaging in policies to compel colleges to bring an end to the hateful antisemitism or face some form of retribution.

Despite this being a very blatant and disturbing action witnessed across numerous campuses, ABC News sees Republicans undertaking that position against colleges and suddenly they alter this detail. Now, the antisemitism is something merely “alleged.” This is how antisemitism is permitted to spread like it has.

Artisanally-Crafted Narratives – THE ATLANTIC

  • This is how the GOP loses the early risers vote!

There are not enough issues to find on which to blame President Trump, apparently, so now we are seeing the need to invent a crisis to yoke on his shoulders. At The Atlantic, they are trying to insist that food prices are skyrocketing – you know, in defiance of the actual data – and they have served up a new cold dish.

Because of the imagined economic crisis, they say that Trump is ruining breakfast. It’s over, folks, no hope for a first meal recovery — it is RUINED!

Making this all the more idiotic is how they went with an AI-generated graphic without editing. They have a glass of ice and a plate with…french fries?! This is what happens when you have a Canadian writing about American customs.

Stealth Story Evolution – VARIOUS OUTLETS

  • It seems political health concerns are a rather fluid standard.

It would appear that when it comes to expressing concern over the health of a politician the first order of business is not their condition but to ensure the well-being of the narrative is the priority.

If you were inquiring about the competency of President Silver Alert, the press lashed out and asked if you were qualified to diagnose anyone. (Just look at Robert Hur, after all.) However, these same journalists are perfectly free to speculate that President Trump is sliding mentally.

Now, we have differing diagnoses for Senator John Fetterman. While campaigning, those who were noting he seemed less than operational after a stroke were lambasted in the press – not because they were assured he was fine but because the Dems needed the Senate seat.

Yet today, with the Senate majority gone and Fetterman ruffling feathers by going pro-Israel, it is now acceptable to suggest the guy is not all there.
