She’s just so awful, Nancy Pelosi. One of the worst people to ever walk upright. This hypocrite from Baltimore, now San Francisco, is one of the most destructive forces ever to hold office in the United States. She should be remembered that way. Republicans can start the process of exposing her for what she is by stripping her of the “Speaker Emerita” title.
When she was first given that title, I thought it was common for former Speakers, but it’s not.
Back in November 2022, The Hill reported, “The House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee voted on Tuesday evening to designate Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) ‘Speaker Emerita,’ as the longtime Democratic leader prepares to step away from the top brass of the caucus. House Democratic Caucus Chair Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), elected Wednesday to succeed Pelosi in the top spot in the caucus, offered the resolution during the panel’s meeting. Assistant Speaker Katherine Clark (D-Mass.), who was chosen Wednesday as the next Democratic whip, seconded the resolution.”
The measure passed unanimously…within the Democratic Caucus.
That means it’s not an official title; it’s one Democrats gave her. Congress, under Republican control, should pass a resolution clarifying that this is not an official designation and is not reflective of the House of Representatives.
The media, naturally, will burp up anything Democrats tell them to. And they will be angry over the resolution, injecting reality into their hero worship. But they will have to report the story to express their outrage over it. That would expose their audience to the truth, even for a moment, that her title is made up.
Since “leaving power,” Pelosi has knifed a Democrat president in the back and cost them any chance in the 2024 election, so maybe Democrats should want this change, and Republicans should be the ones showering her with praise and titles?
Whatever the case, Nancy has not really left power. She has been requested to do more interviews than the so-called “leader” of Democrats in the House, Hakeem Jeffries. Did you really think she’d walk away from power? Do you think this 85-year-old would trust her party’s fate to a black man? You know nothing of Democrats, if you do.
She fundraises like crazy, like a caucus leader, sending out more begging emails than the entirety of the House leadership combined, and I suspect she brings in more than they do as well. She knows the filthy rich funders of the DNC; she’s their peer. The “next generation” of House Democrat leaders haven’t been in office long enough yet to become a fraction of the wealth off their positions as Nancy has. They need time to grow (their portfolios).
That’s the point of leadership in Congress, isn’t it? Sucking up to the rich while using your position to know when to buy or sell so you can become one of them?
Rich liberals don’t respect the poor; you need to be one of them for that.
The weirdest part of Pelosi not retiring, to me, has always been the fact that either she doesn’t like her family, or her family doesn’t like her. At 85, she doesn’t have much more time left. I’m not being morbid, it’s just math. You’d think she would like to spend as much time with her kids and grandkids as possible, and they with her. Yet, none seem to be scrambling for that. I would have given anything for my parents to have had more time with my kids. Pelosi’s family doesn’t seem all that interested.
A good indication of a person's quality, though not a perfect one, is how they get along with their kids. Democrats insist Donald Trump is a monster, yet all his kids and grandkids are always around him and talk with him regularly. Can the same be said for Nancy Pelosi?
She doesn’t need the money; she just wants the power. Imagine choosing power over spending time with your kids when the ticking of the clock has to be deafening.
If they won’t do it out of “respect” or fear of her, Republicans should strip Nancy Pelosi of her fake title so she feels the nudge in the ribs to retire and spend more time with her family. They may not want that, but better she inflict herself on them than the country anymore than she already has.
