If there is one thing that can be said about President Trump’s joint address to Congress earlier this month, it is this: promises made, promises kept. In less than two months, the Trump Administration has already set a new course for America—lowering border crossings to their lowest levels in years, eliminating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) mandates in the federal government and military, and cutting billions of dollars in big government waste through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). But most remarkable of all – and not as widely reported - is what President Trump has done to grow America’s energy sources and keep prices low.
In direct contrast to the Biden-era energy policies which caused prices to skyrocket, President Trump has shown that unleashing American energy production is the key to unlocking economic prosperity, lowering energy costs, and ensuring our national security.
Since taking office, President Trump has wasted no time in restoring America’s energy industry. On day one, he declared a National Energy Emergency, a crucial step in unlocking the full potential of American energy. This was not just about reducing costs—it was about asserting America’s strength on the global stage, ensuring that we no longer depend on foreign adversaries for our energy security.
Following this declaration, the United States achieved a remarkable milestone: it became the world’s largest net exporter of natural gas. This monumental achievement did not happen by accident. It came through the establishment of sensible energy policy, and through the formation of the National Energy Dominance Council, a body dedicated to maximizing America’s vast energy resources. From natural gas, oil, coal, and nuclear energy, President Trump understood that energy is the lifeblood of our country’s strength, and the foundation of our global influence.
President Trump also approved the first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project since the Biden Administration halted such efforts, affirming that America would remain the world’s leading energy exporter. These efforts ensure that American companies can continue to thrive, providing jobs, affordable energy, and economic growth for millions of American families. The Green New Deal is a relic the past, and we have President Trump to thank for that.

Another bold move that has had a lasting impact was President Trump’s decision to unlock vast resources in Alaska, which were held back by bureaucratic red tape. President Trump understood that Alaska’s energy wealth—particularly its oil and natural gas—is critical to not just the state’s economy but to the nation’s economic and national security. His efforts to re-open 625 million acres for offshore drilling were another victory for American energy. These actions have ensured that the U.S. is once again positioned as a global energy powerhouse, ready to compete and win in an increasingly complex world.
President Trump also took the critical steps to dismantle the job-killing regulations that had stymied American growth under the Biden administration. He immediately rescinded each of Biden’s anti-energy, pro-China policies, pulling the plug on the egregious Biden EV mandate that threatened to destroy jobs, offshore our manufacturing industries, and raise energy prices for American families. He did not just stop there—he swiftly ended the massive wind farm projects that ravaged our ecosystems while draining the checkbooks of hardworking taxpaying American families.
At home and abroad, President Trump successfully defended America from radical climate laws that were crippling America’s energy potential. By withdrawing the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement, President Trump showed the world that America would no longer be dictated to by the bureaucratic elites in foreign nations. The deal was a climate lemon for America, one that unfairly placed the economic burden on U.S. workers. All the while, China, the world’s largest emitter of greenhouse gases, was allowed to pollute endlessly without any meaningful accountability. Under President Trump, America’s energy policy is focused on putting American workers, industries, and prosperity first, not leftist bureaucrats and foreign adversaries.
After less than two months in office, President Trump has proven that a new era of American prosperity is not just a distant dream, but something that is within reach. It is right around the corner. The Golden Age of America is finally here. Through bold leadership, an unwavering commitment to American energy dominance, and a vision to restore our nation's economic greatness, President Trump has set America on a course to unparalleled energy independence and global leadership. With this new era of energy, America’s future is brighter than ever before. We are on the cusp of a new chapter in American history—one that provides prosperity, security, and strength for generations to come.
