“The Democrats have learned nothing.” If I’ve read that statement once, I’ve read it at least a dozen times since the election. Well, of course, they’ve learned nothing. They have absolutely no intention of learning anything. They think they are right, and the American people who elected Trump are wrong, stupid, Nazis, racists, homophobes, anti-murder, and anti-everything else the Left believes in. This is their religion, folks, and it isn’t a religion based on historical fact, science, logic, and reason; it is, like pagan, heathen religions of old, purely based on human superstitions. The Aztecs thought they were “scientific,” too, I’m sure, as did Mao Zedong when he murdered 70 million of his own countrymen last century. No, the Democrats haven’t learned, and they never will.
Of course, most “common people” Democrats (like my dear, sweet sister) are not “evil” in the Stalinist sense of the word; they just believe in and vote for evil people. They are just sheep, mental children who will blindly follow a Pied Piper to destruction. They are relatively good people; they just can’t, don’t, or won’t think for themselves and study history.
Very, very few people show any ability at all to think for themselves, and this is actually true among Republicans as well. We absorb too deeply too much of the “zeitgeist” of our age, and it becomes unalterably entrenched in our minds. I’ve been trying, in my recent Townhall series on “The Rise of Modern Leftism” (one more article coming soon), to show where, historically, modern Leftism comes from so that readers can comprehend the roots of its evil. However, I’ve noticed, in certain comments, that much of the current American societal “zeitgeist” is so deeply embedded in even many strong conservatives that they cannot lift their thinking above this “zeitgeist,” see through it, and escape from it where necessary. This inability to think for ourselves is a major reason why America’s Founding Fathers were so opposed to democracy. “Your people, sir, are a beast,” Alexander Hamilton said, and “beasts” generally react by instinct or nature, they don’t tend to logically sort things out and draw conclusions based solely upon solid evidence. “Democracy is the most vile form of government,” James Madison wrote. He didn’t trust the people to make wise decisions. And they rarely do.
Be that as it may, the leadership of the Left—the Obamas, Pelosis, Schumers, Gates, that is, the leadership of the Democratic Party (and the Deep State), are not “sheep”. They are the Shepherds. They know exactly what they are doing and exactly why and where they are going, and they are counting on their dumb sheep to blindly follow them straight to perdition and give them the power to control others that they crave. That’s why platforms like “X” are so abominable and horrifying to Democrats; free speech and free access to truth can be devastating to lies and error and are certainly frightening to the Masters who seek slaves. To Obamaites, Elon Musk is almost as evil as Donald Trump, if not more so. Some people CAN think for themselves and eventually do. You might have to hit them over the head with a 2x4 a few dozen times, but ultimately, it sinks in, like maybe when Bidenomics empties their pocketbooks. But there are still millions of sheep in the Democratic Party pasture, ready and willing to be fleeced and then led to the slaughter. But the Left’s actions tell us true information is probably the greatest menace to Leftism and the thing they fear the most.
We live in a horribly and increasingly wicked world right now—again, for reasons I’m trying to explain in my Rise of Modern Leftism series. History doesn’t happen overnight; it is a process, not an event, and it often takes generations for the clouds to overshadow the sun—or for the sun to reappear again. Yes, we are winning some wonderful political victories under President Trump right now, which is glorious to behold. But politics have been with us since the beginning of human societies and will be with us, always changing, until the end of the earth. I fear this is a “zeitgeist” that too many people cannot rise above and perceive.

I also fear that too many of our current victories might just end up being form over substance and that they have very little ultimate depth; let a Democrat be elected President in 2028 with a Democratic Congress, and they will undo nearly everything good that Trump and Republicans can accomplish in the next four years. Politics rarely change the hearts of people, and until there is an extensive and widespread return to the principles of virtuous republicanism and to the eternal moral laws God established for the true government of mankind, we are just spitting on the California fires to put them out. There won’t be much substantive change. And the Left, the Democrats, have not, and never will learn that, no matter how many millions of people they must maim, torture, oppress, mutilate, and murder—as they have over the past 100 years—because they don’t believe in a virtuous Republic or an eternal, moral God. No, they have never learned, and very few will. Sadly, that’s just what history teaches us.
There are two things that have no limits—stupidity, and evil. Humanity can never extinguish these two fires, no matter how hard virtuous educators try. Both are a bottomless pit among Leftists, but tragically and ominously, they haven’t cornered the market on either one. No, the Democrats will never learn. But maybe the bigger question is, will we?
