Donald Trump, in spite of his background and wealth, is incredibly well connected to the common man.
Everything is backwards. For decades, blowhard Joe Biden pitched himself as “Joe from Scranton” or just another lunchbox working stiff. Kamala Harris told us so often that she grew up in the middle class that one might have concluded that she and her family alone were the middle class. On the other side of the ledger was Donald Trump, who used to brag, “I’m a really rich guy!” He is the one who went to war with Fortune magazine over his actual net worth, which they pegged far lower than he did. He grew up the son of a successful real estate father and continued in the trade, with towers bearing his name all over the world. Yet, it was the latter of the three who actually understood the needs of the common people.
If one looks at President Trump’s actions over the first few days of his second presidency, he has moved to rectify that which his predecessors threw out of whack. How absurd is DEI? Imagine a track race. At the finish line, the winner is a white woman, with a black woman taking a distant second. A track official comes over to the racers and puts the gold medal on the black woman, stating, “We declare you the winner. Whites have been winning these races for years. We want to fix that situation.” Nobody, not even the black runner, would agree to such nonsense. But that is the essence of DEI. One may be an incredible candidate, but he or she will be pushed aside to supposedly correct some great historical wrong by bringing in a far less capable individual. But those pursuing DEI strategies are the ones doing the wrong by pushing off the qualified and elevating the incompetent. Look to LA where even the Three Stooges could have done a better job than the mayor and her fire department leaders. With a few strokes of the pen, Donald Trump has started the long process of purging this derangement from the national body politic. But why would it take the action of billionaire Donald Trump to undo that which was pushed by the supposedly regulars Obama, Biden and Harris?
Donald Trump has many talents, but his greatest might be to understand the mindframe of regular American citizens. Though he is wealthy, has his own plane, has homes all over the US, and likes the finer things in life, Donald Trump understands the needs, desires, and hopes of the regular man. His actions in destroying DEI, removing illegal aliens, and placing tariffs on US trading partners are all steps in helping and supporting normal Americans. The people who have been the loudest cheerleaders for unfettered immigration, DEI, higher taxes, and other lefty pieties are the ones least affected by them. It’s easy to demand an open border from a walled compound in Hawaii. It’s natural to demand that people give up their cars, air conditioners and gas stoves from 30,000 feet in a Gulfstream jet. How could one complain about DEI when he is a billionaire founder of his own company? Those who led the left rarely had to suffer the consequences of their deranged positions. And they did not care much about those who did. For many in LA, their homes burning to the ground was the first time that they had to endure the outcome of their voting for decades for liberal ideologues.
Donald Trump was described by someone who ate Wendy’s burgers on Trump Force One as “a blue collar billionaire”. He could easily have made his life in the upper reaches of American society. He certainly knows everybody and in years past, politicians from both parties made the trek to Trump Tower in New York to receive cash and the mogul’s endorsement. But Trump is different from his cohort in that he absolutely understands the lives and thoughts of those who are not millionaires or billionaires. He understands the soldiers and what they need to win on the battlefield. He understands the construction workers, with whom he grew up on his dad’s building sites. He understands small business owners and their need for less regulations to let their firms grow. Donald Trump understands Americans better than those who claim to be of the people and it is the reason why every single demographic in the country moved towards him during the last election. His popular vote and electoral college victories reflected the fact that billionaire Trump knew better the needs, fears, and aspirations of 300 million Americans than out-of-touch word salad queen Kamala who claimed disingenuously to be from the middle class.

Donald Trump is having fun, dancing to the Village People and moving forcefully to undo years of destructive policies emanating from Washington. He looks relaxed and he continues to be a dynamo of activity at the White House or out and about. People in LA felt that he was much more aware and responsive to their needs after the fire than their clueless mayor and White House dreaming governor. Trump understands that people want to lead normal, successful lives with the absolute minimal intrusion of government. He knows that they want affordable goods, food and energy. Donald Trump of the rarefied world of New York real estate has a better understanding of the people than presidents from working class Scranton and tough neighborhoods Chicago. Trump gives people what they want instead of telling them what they are supposed to want:
*A closed border like in every other normal country.
*Ejection of those who entered the country illegally.
*Affordable energy and goods.
*A strong military that can win when called upon.
*Two sexes instead of a rainbow of genders.
*Boys out of girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms.
*A strong economy with manufacturing at home.
*Equal justice for all.
*Pride in the country
The Davos crowd thought that they could engineer and control society according to their whims. People like Biden and John Kerry fully bought into their program. The results have been Covid destruction and a push to deindustrialize advanced Western countries by reducing farming and cutting back on acceptable energy sources. The people both in the US and in Europe are not having it. Javier Milei gave the World Economic Forum crowd an earful last week when he told them how awful they are and how destructive their policies have been. People want normal. Trump understands it. And Trump is delivering.
