The system is weighted against young men (and to some extent young women) who are trying to get going in life. There are huge problems and burdens for young people getting ahead. Houses are much more expensive, wages are low, there's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) out there, immigrants are taking jobs that should be going to Americans, and there are a lot of structural problems. Some people will say you can't expect young men to succeed with all this stacked against them. Others will say young men need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and find a way around it. Both of those things are true. But let me give you a hard to swallow pill, folks, for you conservatives: We have to fix the system but as an individual, you have to do what you need to do to navigate the reality as it is. At the end of the day, you can complain that things are tough, and people can agree with you, but what the hell are you going to do about it?
