Half of America has Stockholm Syndrome

I don’t get it.  I don’t understand how Obama can be tied in the polls with Romney when you look at all of the facts.  By all rights he should be losing in a landslide.  Unemployment and under employment numbers are miserable, the housing market is gasping for breath. It’s trying to inch its way back, but it takes two steps forward and one step back.  Our credit rating has been downgraded twice since he took office, QE 3 just hit last week with more counterfeit money entering the system, we were attacked once again on 9/11 and the Middle East burns.  What gives??

I can only surmise that it must be Stockholm syndrome.  “Stockholm syndrome, or capture-bonding, is a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and have positive feelings towards their captors, sometimes to the point of defending them.  These feelings are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims, who essentially mistake a lack of abuse from their captors for an act of kindness.”

Think of what Obama is doing.  He is holding half of Americans hostage. (I’m not counting Hollywood and the loony left billionaires who support him for social reasons.) They depend on him and the government to take care of them.  His economic policies have killed the job market so that even people who want to work are disillusioned because there are no jobs.  He has made it possible for people to stay on unemployment for up to 99 weeks and then when that runs out, there is always welfare where there is now no job-seeking requirement.  He provides them with food stamps and now they will have “free” health care, (or so they think).  They NEED him, he is their captor but he is also their protector.  Unfortunately he is also their abuser.

With his “You didn’t build that” speech he continued to hammer away at how much you need the government and him because you poor people just aren’t capable of doing it on your own.

Don’t you see?  He CARES about you.  He has empathy and he’s there to give you whatever you want or need.  If he has to get the resources for your needs, he just takes it from the other 50% who don’t have Stockholm syndrome and who see how dangerous it is.

The Democrats and liberals love him for this.  They think he is the most caring and compassionate person to walk the earth.  Little do they know, (or maybe deep down they do), how much damage this is doing to them, their self-esteem and their country.  Still, they blindly follow him and will go to the polls in November to make sure that his policies continue.

They don’t want to see their captor for what he really is.  They don’t want to see the redistributionist and the apologist.  They tune that out, they turn a blind eye to the fact that after our embassy was attacked on 9/11 he took off and went to Las Vegas for a fundraiser instead of to Washington for a meeting about the terrorist attack.

On David Letterman’s show he didn’t even remember what the deficit was when he took office.  Really?  But then again, that doesn’t matter much does it? It’s just a number; give him four more years and he will try and figure it out.  All he needs is more time, more time to make you more dependent and the world less safe.

The media is a willing partner in this hostage situation.  They continue to preach the lie that the economy is getting stronger every day.  According to them we have turned the corner.  Why just look at the stock market!  It is up over 100% in the last 3 years!  That would sound great if I weren’t for the fact that it lost over half of its value before it made a turnaround.  Most folks haven’t even benefited from the upturn because they didn’t want to take the risk of losing what little they had left.

Those of us who look at the big picture see exactly where another four years will take us.  We are not being held hostage in a small room with only an Obama poster to look at, we are working hard to keep this country from going down for the third time.

Take a look at this Youtube video one more time and you tell me this isn’t Stockholm syndrome.
