Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) once again proved she's one of the most insufferable members of Congress. The Minnesota Democrat has earned the ire of plenty for her outrageous remarks and whitewashing of radical Islamic terrorism. Yet, it's her sordid history with anti-Semitism that's reared its ugly head. Who is this woman's communications director because she didn't have to say what she said over the weekend about her journey toward re-educating herself about anti-Semitic tropes? I can't believe I'm saying this: there was a better way to articulate this process than how she conveyed it on CNN.

Omar didn't know about the tropes about Jewish people and money—is she serious? She's doing her part to stir the court of public opinion. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy removed her from the House Foreign Affairs Committee, which requires a full vote from all 435 members. A few Republicans have already said they wouldn't engage in this tit-for-tat game, and people wonder why the GOP always gets played for suckers while the Democrats maximize their power positions.

"I certainly did not or was not aware that the word 'hypnotized' was a trope. I wasn't aware that there are tropes about Jews and money. That has been a very enlightening part of this journey," Omar said on CNN. The remarks weren't met with universal approval; activist Hananya Naftali accused Omar of outright lying regarding her supposed ignorance about anti-Semitic tropes. She's well-versed in this church of hate.

"Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel. #Gaza #Palestine #Israel," she tweeted in 2012. In 2019, when responding to a tweet regarding why the US defends Israel so vociferously, she wrote, "It's all about the Benjamins baby."

She knows the links between Jewish people and money. She's peddling the talking points of Nazis, claiming she was unaware of the hurt and harm they cause—and how this has been a reading rainbow-like experience. This is grade-A political BS.

She knows that by showing contrition, she can increase her chances of siphoning off more House Republicans, which would essentially kill the effort to remove her from her committee assignments and embarrass McCarthy. We all know Speaker McCarthy, and solid vote counts on things aren't his strong suit.

We could go on about how the left is historically illiterate and has never had a firm grasp of history, which is why things like the 1619 Project and critical race theory—exercises in academic fraud—can resonate within a segment of the population that is equally willing to erase history to suit their narrative. Liberals hate this country, and one way they hope to foment further detachment is by stripping this country of its cultural identity or, at the very least, making it toxic. Yet, this thought experiment is a waste of time. They know they're full of it; they just don't care. Omar doesn't care. Some Republicans, however, do and would rather not look like the bad guys and let this anti-Semite remain where she is regarding her committee assignments.

And that is also why the GOP will keep losing. They will never be able to learn or do what is necessary to beat the Democrats. These traitors who want Omar to remain where she is just showed that.
