China has its weaknesses. The country is in tremendous debt because of the massive infrastructure building program that was based on borrowing (and stealing) rather than solid economic growth. There is constant in-fighting in the CCP—when an organization is built solely on power, there will always be huge numbers of individuals who will be scrambling for as much of it as possible. Xi Jinping appears to be firmly on top at the moment, but that is only because he has crushed all opposition. Others will arise, no doubt. That’s what power does to people. It is happening in America, too.

But there is no question that China is now the richest and most powerful country in Asia, and is using that position to bully all of its neighbors. Bullies usually aren’t as strong as they try to appear, and that is probably the case with China, too. But those weaknesses must be exposed, and the only country currently capable of accomplishing that is America. And Joe Biden isn’t going to do it.

The Chinese Ministry of Natural Resources recently released a new map of Asia where, not surprisingly, China claims more territory than it actually owns—that’s the “bully” factor—and which has triggered protests from nearly every Asian nation. There is, of course, a huge difference between a line on a map and what truly exists on the ground, but that’s China. They lie about everything, and it is part of the way they are trying to expand their power and influence in Asia and around the globe. If nobody stops them, they will continue to do it. Words of protest only go so far. Xi Jinping doesn’t give one royal, rotten fig what the Japanese or Indians SAY; somebody is finally going to have to knock that bully down or China will continue its current bombastic, ever-reaching efforts. It’s called...”power.” The Left lives for it.

This new map lays claim to territory that belongs to India, Russia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Taiwan, and impacts other countries like Japan, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Interestingly, the only country which hasn’t complained about it is Russia.

It’s just a map. In one sense, it means nothing. But in another way, it once again demonstrates what the CCP is and what it thinks of itself. Xi Jinping isn’t trying to get along with other Asian countries, he is trying to dominate them. And, because China is a Marxist-based, socialist country, where its communist “scientific socialism” teaches world conquest, China is not going to stop until they are forced to. Mark my words: they will NOT stop until they are forced to. No more than Hitler did. And Democrats.

CHINA

I wrote an article about a year ago (“We Need an EATO”, read it here) where I argued that one way to roadblock China is to establish an “East Asian Treaty Organization” (EATO), along the lines of NATO. NATO was established in 1949 as an 11-nation, mutual defense pact against the Soviet Union. The USSR no longer exists, of course, but NATO hasn’t disappeared—indeed, it has expanded to its current 31 nations—and NATO isn’t going anywhere. Bureaucracies, regardless of how expensive and useless they become, never disappear, and the bigger and costlier they are, the less chance there is of getting rid of them. So, NATO still exists, ostensibly against Russia, which has absolutely no intention of attacking Europe and would be decimated if it did. Geez, the Russians can’t even win a war against Ukraine, how are they going to defeat all of Europe?

I’ve wandered a bit. My article of last year suggested the formation of an east Asian alliance comparable to NATO. China is a much bigger threat to the world now than Russia is, and it would seem a pact against the Chinese would be more necessary than one against Russia. A number of countries might be interested. Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, India, Malaysia—perhaps others in the region. It would be very nice to get Russia in that organization as well, and Russia would certainly benefit. Look at a map and see who is closer to resource-rich Siberia—Beijing or Moscow. But the utter blindness of the Biden administration and the Uniparty has pushed Russia into the hands of China over a war in Ukraine that means absolutely nothing to America. So, Russia probably wouldn’t be interested in joining an East Asia Treaty Organization. But if the countries I mentioned were willing to join, and to commit to a NATO-type alliance where, if one country were attacked, the others would participate, and that could protect Taiwan’s independence and at least cause the Chinese bully some moments of consternation. China probably wouldn’t want to attack Taiwan if she knew India and Vietnam from the south, Japan and Korea from the north, Australia and New Zealand from the southeast, and America from the east were also going to join in. NATO is designed to protect Europe from Russian invasion. One could argue it has worked well because the USSR never invaded Europe and Vladimir Putin hasn’t, either (and won’t). Why wouldn’t such an organization work in Asia against a far greater threat that exists to the world now—China?

Of course, we would need some wisdom and statesmanship in Washington to lead in the creation of such an East Asia Treaty Organization. We would need someone who didn’t care how loudly Beijing protested. That obviously isn’t Joe Biden. He isn’t going to bite the hand that feeds him and has helped make his family rich. But if we want to stop China, we will have to do it in the only language communists understand—the threat of greater force. Being a bigger bully. Otherwise, China isn’t going to stop. They never will until they are finally forced to.

Remember Hitler. Who is doing the appeasing now?
