Biden’s Independence Hall speech last week appeared to me to be largely a political screed, a campaign plan of attack—go after Donald Trump and MAGA, relentlessly and viciously, no mercy, no quarter, no prisoners to be taken. Biden realizes the Democrats certainly cannot run on any accomplishments the past 20 months that have endeared normal Americans to their cause (87,000 new IRS agents and paying for somebody else’s college tuition is probably not a big winner outside of the federal government and academia, which the Dems already own). Other commentators, including Republican politicians, lashed out at the extremism and vituperative nature of Mein Fuehrer’s speech, and with ample justification. It went way over the line in attacking half the country. But, it still appeared to me to be a campaign-pattern speech: hit Trump and MAGA as hard as you can. It worked in 2020, maybe it will work again in 2022. It’s all they have.
Given the backlash his slobber received, Biden backtracked a bit a day later, then doubled-down soon after: “MAGA Agenda” is so extreme “that it threatens the very foundation of our republic.” Can’t let the troops think he is retreating. Biden might not be as demented as we think. Maybe his problem isn't “dementia,” but “evil" - or a heavy dose of both.
Regardless of the state of Biden’s brain and soul, a cursory examination of the news today indicates that his Stormtroopers did indeed get the message. Just a sampling: CNN commentator Douglas Brinkley: the “ultra-right MAGA contingent wants to overthrow the U.S. government.” Leftist radio host Dean Obeidallah: “It’s no longer Republicans versus Democrats. It is Americans versus MAGA.” MSNBC’s Joy Reid: Republicans were upset because their fascism “was named” by Biden. This paragon of monumental ignorance and stupidity (Reid, I mean) made the following statement: “You have an insurrection in which there was a violent attack on the Capitol, in which they beat up police officers and left five people dead, eventually. You have the demands that procreation be achieved at the behest of the state, essentially state-mandated birth. You have an anti-immigration mania, and you have a cult of personality. If you look up fascism in the dictionary, you’re going to find all of those things.” That’s priceless, folks. I invite the reader to indeed look up “fascism” in the dictionary and see how many of those things are enumerated. Another: Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chairman Sean Patrick Maloney said, “This election is about mainstream versus MAGA. I’m proud that we have a president that knows right from wrong.”……… Pardon the ellipses, but I fell out of my chair laughing and then had to clean up the barf. More: our ever-so-wise-and-knowledgeable president even tripled down. When heckled in a Labor Day speech, he accused his tormenter of “destroying democracy.” Can’t they at least consult a thesaurus and come up with different words?

And Biden’s soldiers got the message and will spend the next two months spreading this manure as far and as widely as they can. They are on a mission. They are clear-eyed, determined, and single-minded. They know what they want to accomplish and will do everything they can to do it.
