De Pasquale’s Dozen with Fox Business and Fox News NYE Host Kennedy

De Pasquale’s Dozen with Fox Business and Fox News NYE Host Kennedy
With smart and dynamic women like Lisa “Kennedy” Montgomery and Maria Bartiromo, it's no surprise that Fox Business has overtaken CNBC for business news.

Kennedy is a libertarian icon and powerful communicator for freedom. In addition to hosting “Kennedy” on Fox Business at 9 p.m. EST, she is also a frequent co-host on “The Five” on Fox News Channel. This New Year’s Eve she’ll be co-hosting Fox News Channel’s “All-American New Year” live from Times Square with Pete Hegseth beginning at 10 p.m. EST and into the new year.

I've been a big fan of Kennedy since her MTV days. She was my first female Republican role model in 1990s and I even got a similar tattoo to hers when I was in high school. We may have changed or evolved in our thinking over the years, but our Republican elephant tattoos are forever!

The De Pasquale's Dozen asks political figures, free market-minded writers and entertainers to take a break from politics and talk about their culture obsessions.

1. What's your favorite movie line and to whom would you like to say it?
“SO LET’S DANCE!” [from Caddyshack] And I’d like to say it to everybody.

2. What canceled show would you put back on the air?
Manimal

3. If you could be paid to do anything besides your current job, what would it be?
Calligrapher

4. What advice do you remember someone giving you that you think about nearly every day?
My dad told me never read your own press, good or bad. He also said what’s worth doing is worth overdoing.

5. What’s the best present you ever received as a child?
My mom’s 1983 Volkswagen Diesel Rabbit

6. What’s the best present you ever gave?
I gave my brother a Rolex this year for his 50th birthday.

7. How do you unplug from the news cycle?
I watch lots of sports, especially college football. And I swim (hard to watch a TV in the pool.)

8. What books are on your recommended reading list for 2019?
Plato’s “Phaedo” and Chernow’s ”Grant”

9. What was your first concert?
The Grateful Dead. My second concert was Frankie Goes To Hollywood.

10. With a divided Congress, what should the libertarian, Republican, and Democratic theme song be going into 2019?
Beastie Boys “Sabotage”

11. When you were on MTV, you were then-known as a Republican. What was it like being vocal about your political views? How might things be different today?
It was lonely, but it was a lot more fun. I was like a stinky unicorn and people approached politics with a little more curiosity than they do now. Sticking with your tribe is very boring.

12. What are your New Year's Eve and Day traditions?
I like working on New Year’s, always have. New Year’s Day I watch college football with my family and make a big pot of black-eyed pea soup with ham and molasses. Deeeelish!
