Why are you reading this? Why are you sitting in front of your computer, or clutching your smart phone staring at this page?
Your taxes are about to go up, your government is about to get bigger and your rights are about to be abrogated. What are
Until you become as committed to defending your rights as the Left is to destroying them, the nation is fated to follow this trajectory. Look not to the legislator, nor to the talk show host, to raise the banner to which you should rally. It is you who must now rise from the torpor that for so long has defined the modern American and claim for yourselves your rights of free men and women. As Yeats said “The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity.”
If the nation is to be taken back, it is you who must do so.
Some will say “I have a job, a mortgage, bills and crabgrass on the lawn.” So do I. As of yesterday morning, the excuse that conservatives are too busy earning a living to get organized officially became passé. Unless the composition of our government fundamentally changes in the next election, you and your family will endure another four years for higher taxes and greater intrusions by those who see themselves as anointed to reign over us. And you must effect that change, at the ballot box.
Consider the following:
He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.
He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.

An accurate description of America during the last three years?
Perhaps. But those words were first put to paper in 1776, in the Declaration of Independence. The parallels are eerie. Eerie enough that you should be energized to take action.
Do not waste your time arguing with the Leftists. They have allowed themselves to become too indoctrinated and too infatuated with their own mythology for you to gain traction in any discourse. They see themselves as compassionate and broadminded. My origins being in the Left, I can tell you that they are neither. To them, you are plebeians. At worst, your are to be subjugated and regulated. At best your are to be tolerated, and mollified when necessary with bread and circuses. Your words and your time will be wasted on them.
Give no heed to, and do not patronize their media. In it the Leftists will continue to use the poor and minorities as human shields and will lie outright when it suits them. They will feign cooperation and bipartisanship and appeal to your sympathies to buy your silence, and will attack you viciously if you do not consent.
You must vote, and get others to do so. You must support candidates who believe in and will champion federalism. You must work phone banks and fundraisers and walk neighborhoods. You must write letters to editors and publish your blog wherever you can. You must dialogue with your family, friends and neighbors. You must reach out to those whom you know and to those you do not know and explain to them the peril in which we find ourselves. You must stand with those who stand against big government.
Make no mistake; you will be harassed. You will be vilified. and you will be called names; for although those on the Left consider themselves your moral and intellectual superiors they have consistently shown themselves to be crude, base and without the smallest modicum of decorum.
But you must go to work. A system was set in place years ago for you to address that “long train of usurpations.” Your time has come.
