President Trump: Peacemaker in Our Time

As the left continues its push to destroy America as we know it, President Trump and his administration have advanced peace, even in this tumultuous year.

Like Reagan, Trump was accused in the campaign before his first term of being unintelligent and a warmonger. For both men, neither charge was true. Reagan ended the American-Soviet phase of the Cold War while President Trump is ushering in a new era of peace to the Middle East. Such efforts resulting in the recognition of the State of Israel from several previously hostile nations have been nothing short of historic.

The left, and a few Republicans, said moving the American embassy to Jerusalem would cause havoc in the Middle East.  Instead, the move has shown that the United States means business under the present administration. It is unclear if these deals will be honored in the future. However, President Trump has at least tried to do as St. Paul said, “If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.” What comes after is on others but the president has done his part.

The renewed state of the American military is another of those tenets of the president’s peacemaking policy. President Trump has built up the American military; a military whose first job is to deter war by sheer strength and power and secondly to win war conclusively.  Most nations now know, as they did not under the Obama-Biden administration, if they harm American troops that the current occupant of the Oval Office will respond with overwhelming destruction. Through strength, President Trump is securing peace and saving the lives of friend and foe.

The left said that the building up of the military would provoke wars. Unlike previous commanders in chief, however, President Trump has not initiated American involvement in any foreign wars that have no objective.

There are many accolades afforded to President Trump for the economy, law and order, and issues of life but, paraphrasing Richard Nixon, his greatest accomplishment is that of peacemaker.

President Trump has also been committed to peace on the home front, insisting on peaceful protesting as opposed to anarchist rioting which harms police and other innocent bystanders. The president also, through a strong economy, is providing greater opportunity for areas plagued by poverty. Perhaps most importantly, in recognizing the role of the Church in society, the president has thrown his support to those who simply seek to follow the biblical command to worship collectively.

Donald Trump has truly been a peacemaker in our time.
