This week, Dr. Jill Biden (yes, she's a doctor, but not that kind of doctor... don't go having a medical emergency around her, or you'll be deader than a doornail) said that Americans of Latin descent were "as unique as the breakfast tacos in San Antonio."
To make matters worse, during the same sentence, she also said the Hispanic community was "as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx" while mispronouncing the word "boDEgas" as "BOgedas."

I suppose we should cut her a little slack. Unlike her predecessor, Biden is not fluent in multiple languages. Hell, after a quick review of this disaster of a speech, she's barely fluent in English.
After the ignorant statements were made, even left-leaning Latino groups had to go through the motions of voicing objections and taking a modicum of umbrage at being compared to breakfast tacos.
The National Association of Hispanic Journalists issued a statement, saying Biden should try to "better understand the complexities of our people."
In 2020, the Trump reelection campaign criticized Univision for "actively pushing Marxist propaganda" on their Spanish-speaking network. The very same National Association of Hispanic Journalists issued a statement that sounded a little harsher than the "try to better understand our people" full-body massage chiding Jill Biden got.
"The type of dishonest commentary and criticism the Trump campaign released today, once again, is a vicious and irresponsible attack on the media and the public's right to access and information," the NAHJ announced.
Wow, as my colleague Chris Plante always says: "It's good to be a Democrat."
But the most remarkable part of the insulting and degrading series of comments by the first lady is how quickly the mainstream, legacy media have erased, ignored, or made complete excuses for them.
After a full day's reaction to the remarks, the first lady apologized.
Well, no, the Biden didn't apologize; her office apologized for her in a statement.

And that was that.

But, of course, she did not apologize at all. And, this wasn't a gaffe. This was a prepared speech rehearsed several times and vetted by her staff and advisors.
As Mercedes Schlapp, a veteran of two White House communications operations, wrote at Fox News, "The White House rigorously reviews and scrutinizes all public remarks prepared for the president and first lady. Yet Biden's protectors in the leftwing media say that the words Jill read from a Teleprompter 'didn't come out correctly.'"
But the media and left-wing organizations like the National Association of Hispanic Journalists will fall all over themselves to make excuses, give her a pass and accept her non-apology because there is no white privilege like a Democrat's white privilege.
Jill isn't the only Biden who personifies this kind of velcro white privilege. Just look at her stepson... you know, the one who has such kind words for his step-mom.
Hunter Biden is on video using crack. He is also seen abusing, fighting over, and exploiting prostitutes. Foreign-born prostitutes who are probably victims of human trafficking.
And where are the arrests? Where are the calls for criminal charges?
Do you think a black man in America would get away with his kind of behavior and with the kind of mountain of evidence that has piled up against him?
Now we hear there may be a settlement being negotiated over his tax law violations?
Tax law? What about possession of, purchase of, and use of crack cocaine?
We were told that the crime bill that Biden still brags about is a perfect example of white privilege. A black youth is arrested with one rock of crack and goes to jail for a decade. A white youth with an ounce of powder cocaine may get a slap on the wrist or a plea deal.
White privilege, written into law by the whitest of white senators, Joe Biden.
But here, we don't even have the crack-to-powder comparison in play.
Hunter is a crack head. And he has not faced one day of criminal justice for this. Not even an arrest. He has been rewarded, praised, made millions, flew around the world on Air Force jets, and still walks the streets a free man.
White privilege, Biden style.
Don't blame them. Blame the media and left-wing groups who gladly let them get away with it.
