When Free Speech Turns Hostile: How Moms Are Being Targeted for Standing Up for Law and Order

When one of our Moms for America leaders in San Francisco opened her front door recently, she found a flyer and a whistle hanging from her handle. The message was clear: "If you see ICE, blow the whistle."

The flyer encouraged residents to form crowds, make noise, and block federal agents carrying out immigration enforcement. It even listed locations and times for organized "resistance" rallies outside the immigration court.

To most people, this may seem like just another protest leaflet in a city used for political theater. But for moms raising families in communities increasingly defined by chaos instead of order, it's something deeper. It's a sign that if you believe in the rule of law, you're no longer welcome.

Across the country, moms who speak out for common-sense values, protecting their families, supporting police, and standing for secure borders are being branded as enemies. From California to Illinois, radical activists are trying to silence mothers who dare to question sanctuary policies that make neighborhoods less safe.

One mom in San Francisco told us she's had to send her children to conservative schools out of state. "I'm hiding my kids," she said. "San Francisco made me an early empty nester. It's depressing."

That's not freedom, it's fear. And it's spreading.

When President Trump offered federal assistance to help cities like San Francisco curb illegal immigration and restore public safety, city officials rejected it. They claimed they could "handle it." But what's happened since proves otherwise. Activists are being paid to block federal law enforcement. Flyers are being distributed door-to-door, calling on residents to confront ICE. Meanwhile, law-abiding mothers feel unsafe in their own communities.

This isn't about politics, it's about priorities. Mothers are watching cities elevate ideology over safety, and it's our families who pay the price. These same local leaders who claim to care about "inclusion" have created environments where moms who value faith, family, and freedom are bullied into silence.

We're witnessing a pattern: violent protests instead of dialogue, censorship instead of debate, and hostility instead of tolerance. It's the natural result of a culture that treats patriotism as a threat and motherhood as a liability.

In 1963, Albert S. Herlong Jr. (D-Florida) entered into the Congressional Record 45 Communist Goals. The list was derived from researcher Cleon Skousen's book "The Naked Communist." In reading through the list, it is clear that we are the generation seeing these goals achieved. Goal number 42 on the list is "Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use united force to solve economic, political or social problems."

We've seen this all too frequently in the last 10 years, with the Women's March in 2017, Free Palestine riots on college campuses, attacks on law enforcement, and the George Floyd Riots that destroyed lives and decimated neighborhoods.

If you have read the book "Rules for Radicals," you've seen the playbook of organized chaos. If you know the history of Mao and the rise of the Chinese Communist Party, Lenin and the Bolshevik revolution, and Hitler's rise to power, you see the same orchestrated coup inciting riots in our own streets, campuses, and public gatherings today. What's worse, members of our own government—men and women elected by the people—are at best turning a blind eye, and at worst, condoning and even encouraging it.

Number 15 on the list of Communist Goals is "Take over one or both of the political parties in the United States." The first objective has been met. The Democrat Party has become the party of communism. Democrat led states and cities have become breeding zones for escalated violence, harboring criminals and criminalizing law enforcement. This is not a sustainable model for any community.

I have spoken with moms in several countries who now live in fear in the neighborhoods they once felt safe in. Not only do they not feel safe from the violent population invading their countries, they fear retaliation from their own governments. The governments of Ireland, the United Kingdom, France, Canada, and even Australia have passed laws penalizing their citizens for what they deem "hate speech." We cannot allow this to happen in America. We cannot ignore what we see just because we don't want to see it.

Moms for America was founded to give mothers a voice in exactly moments like this, when courage is required to stand for what's right. A single mom in San Francisco had the courage to stand up and warn us all. These riots and violent attacks on our police and citizens are not organic. They are orchestrated, organized, and well-funded. The message left on this mom's door is proof of that. We cannot counter darkness with darkness. We need a burst of light!

Our message to every mom feeling concerned for the safety of their children and communities: you're not alone. There are millions of us who refuse to bow to fear or let our values be redefined by activists shouting in the streets. We will continue to speak up, stand for truth, and be the counter voice in the storm.

And to the members of our law enforcement, thank you! Thank you for protecting our neighborhoods, enforcing the law, and keeping our families safe.
