In reviewing the sad incident in front of the Trump Hotel there is a theory that is not receiving much attention, yet. There may have been a major internal moral injurythat drove Special Forces Master Sergeant Matthew Livelsberger to kill himself and cause an explosion of his rented Tesla in front of the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas.

Through the process of deduction it makes sense.

Believing the government reports that there was no connection between the New Orleans terrorist attack and the incident in Las Vegas one must look even further at the life and movements ofMaster Sergeant Livelsberger.

He seemingly had a lot of life to look forward to.  Sergeant Livelsberger had served nearly twenty years in the military, attaining high rank, and apparently just celebrated the birth of a child.  The sergeant was home on leave from Germany during the holiday season.

All indications from family members are that the Special Forces Sergeant was a fan of former, and incoming, President Donald Trump.  He even maintained this support throughout his first marriage, to a Bernie Sanders supporter. Taking it one step further, Sergeant Livelsberger could have blown up the Trump building, and the Elon Musk made Tesla, if he had really wanted to.  Even a cross trained Special Forces soldier whose primary specialty does not involve weapons/demolition would be able manufacture a device many times better than the one that went off inSergeant Livelsberger’s vehicle, some seconds after an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Many of the people who knew Sergeant Livelsbergersaid he was an upstanding individual who was very kind and excited about the birth of his child.

ARMY

Only a few things cause someone to go from 100, or like most of us 90-95, to zero in the space of a few days. If he was radicalized by ISIS, there would have been a discernible path like there was for the perpetrator of the New Orleans terrorist attack. People would have seen him the Sergeant converting to Islam, attending Mosque, maybe growing a beard, etc.  None of that was happening.

Few things can cause this type of man and soldier to fold.  Some experience major moral injury. Some find they were to be medically retired and miss the fight (a very unlikely possibility based off statements from family members and the lack of a cover ourselves statement by the Army). Some may have a public scandal coming.

Barring any sort of foul play against his person, whatever happened was enough to seemingly reduce a proud patriot to believe there was no hope.
