A Tale of Two Economies

When asked during softball interviews about how she would reduce inflation and strengthen the economy, Kamala Harris offers one of her wacky responses. Instead of answering the question, she waxes about her formative years and how her middle class family got by. Then, after seemingly interminable rabble, she says that she advocates an “opportunity economy” for which she gives no specifics. As usual, interviewers do not press for details.

Bogus Claims Over the Top

The Biden/Harris administration has made a wide variety of bogus claims, among them when Joe Biden addressed the U.N. last month. To the disbelief of anyone who knows what’s occurring, he proudly proclaimed that the U.S. economy is strong

At least he's consistent: for months on end Biden and Harris have stated that they’ve tamed inflation, that they’ve gotten spending under control, and that Bidenomics is working! Indeed, there's clips of Kamala Harris at numerous gatherings saying that Bidenomics is working

Okay, so you don't believe her, and you don't believe that Bidenomics measures up to the economy under Donald Trump's first term. Let's look at the record while Trump was president versus the nearly four years under the inept leadership of the Biden/Harris administration.

The Price Was Right

The price of everyday commodities was relatively low during President Trump’s first term. Eggs for example, based on national averages, were $1.48 per dozen, while under the Biden/Harris administration that figure climb to $3.00.

During Trump's first term, inflation averaged 1.9% annually. Under the Biden/Harris administration, during one year inflation hit a 40-year high of 9.1%, and has been averaging 5.7% despite Harris’s fantasy claims.

Gasoline, a staple for most workers who commute by car and cannot afford an overly-touted EV, is most revealing. The cost of gasoline for an automobile under the Biden/Harris administration rose by 59%. Likewise, home heating and electricity costs rose by 31%. Health insurance for a family rose by 17%. Other indicators are similarly revealing about the Biden/Harris economy.

Not Keeping Pace

These massive increases for everyday expenditures wouldn't be so ominous if hourly wages kept pace with them. The grim reality is that for most of the Biden/Harris administration average hourly earnings have been outpaced by inflation. After 30 months, finally, wages caught up but even that is tentative.

The most damning aspect of the Biden/Harris administration’s economic tenure is seen in job growth or lack thereof. Despite claims that the Biden/Harris administration has helped to create all sorts of new jobs, as many as 47% or more of such jobs have gone to foreign-born workers. What’s more, 35% of these new jobs are only part-time positions and, in many cases, for low wages.

Many of new jobs under the Biden/Harris administration are actually second jobs. In other words, wage earners have been forced to take on even more work to make ends meet. Is that Bidenomics at work?

As of mid 2023, native born men in America experienced a 1.8 million decline in jobs while foreign born men in America experienced slightly over 900,000 new jobs. As such, the gate crashers that the Biden/Harris administration has allowed to stream over our borders are taking jobs away from Americans. Worse, with each passing day even more law breakers stream over our borders, further impeding our economy.

A Massive Effort

It will take a massive effort by Donald Trump in his second term to alleviate the situation, but he will succeed. Meanwhile Kamala Harris has no clue on how to improve the economy. Given the chance, she will accelerate the rate at which illegals flood our borders and she will doom our economy, thus dooming our nation in record time.

When you read about particular groups saying that they are backing Kamala Harris for president, one has to wonder: is their hatred for Donald Trump greater than their love for America? This must be the case, otherwise why would anyone want to vote for the least qualified individual arguably who has ever run for U.S. president?

She is someone who received no votes during the primaries and who has demonstrated her incompetence in endless ways. Why would anyone want to elevate such an individual to the highest office in the land and, for that matter, the world?

Voting for Kamala Harris doesn't make sense economically, politically, or even morally.
