“For us, it is a pleasure to welcome you back to Cuba,” beamed Cuba’s (sock-puppet of Raul Castro) president, Miguel Díaz-Canel this week upon greeting Russia’s foreign minister Sergei Lavrov. “We do so with the feeling that we are receiving a true friend of Cuba, someone who has shown tremendous sensitivity and understanding toward our problems.”
“Lavrov, in turn, repeated that Cuba “is our traditional partner and our most important ally in Latin America and the Caribbean” and promised to continue expanding trade, investments and economic cooperation,” as reported by the Miami Herald.
Oh, and by the way….”This (spying by Cuban spy Manuel Rocha, arrested on Dec. 1st) is probably the most damaging spy scandal or penetration of the U.S. government going way back to Roosevelt. And I don’t say that lightly. (Former CIA officer Robert Baer on NPR, Dec. 23, 2023.)
Manuel Rocha, who served in various high diplomatic posts in the State department for 25 years and thus had total security clearance, was arrested on Dec. 1, and charged with being a spy/ agent for the KGB-founded and mentored Castro regime.
Oh, and by the way: “Cuba is not a threat to the United States…They don’t implicate our national security in any way.” (Pres. Obama, April 14th, 2015, presumably with CIA Chief Brennan’s sign-off, or more probably his prodding.)
I can’t be the only person who notes a blatant “disconnect” among the above-quoted statements?
I mean, how can the Putin regime be a mortal threat to everything Americans hold dear, but its most slavish client-state on our doorstep be nothing but an innocuous free-healthcare provider and cruise destination?
Fascinatingly enough, to lend even more credence to the Cuban/Putin partnership, in the late 50’s (in other words, when the U.S. media, State Dept, and CIA all swore up and down that these “rebels” were antiseptically free of the slightest communist taint) Fidel Castro, Raul Castro, and Che Guevara had Nikolai Leonev as their KGB handler. This same Leonev served as Putin’s boss in the 80’s.

And, lest we forget, it was Putin’s (aghast at the time) predecessors who during the Cuban Missile Crisis yanked those nuclear missiles from the Castro regime’s itchy fingers-- and in the very nick of time. The imminent threat wasn’t from the Russians, it was from the Castros and Che Guevara. To wit:
“What!?” Khrushchev gasped on Oct. 28th 1962, as recalled by his son Sergei. “Is he (Fidel Castro) proposing that we start a nuclear war? That we launch missiles from Cuba?”

So much for the gallant Knights of Camelot forcing the Russians’ retreat during the Cuban missile crisis. Apparently, the Castro brothers and Che Guevara’s genocidal lust is what prompted the Butcher of Budapest to yank the missiles from their reach.
And, as amply documented, Fidel’s brother Raul is still the power behind the throne of the Cuban regime.
Apparently while Brennan was instructing his intelligence colleagues–in the U.S. and on three continents– to shadow and “bump” Trump’s campaign workers in order to fabricate a “Russian-Collusion” narrative about Trump (amply reported here at Townhall)--Cuba’s spies (KGB_trained and mentored for decades, hence GENUINE Russian-Colluders–were having a field day right under his nose!

“Cuban security officials toured Key West drug-war center—A delegation of Cuban government national security officials recently toured the Pentagon’s counter-drug center in Key West (in May, 2016)— a first, signaling a nascent effort in U.S.-Cuban security cooperation. They got a briefing on the work that has been described as Southcom’s command center in the war on drugs.”
“Cuba has kept drug trafficking, in check— the U.S. State Department’s (under Obama) annual narcotics control report found that (Cuba) is not a major consumer, producer or transit point for illegal narcotics.” (Miami Herald, March 2017.)
In brief, unlike in the case of a Republican’s word under oath, the Obama team and their Fake News Media auxiliaries believe every word uttered by the KGB-mentored apparatchiks of a Russian satrapy. And to demonstrate their fidelity to the Russian satrap’s word, the Obama team put our national security where Castro’s mouth is, by giving his top defense and secret police apparatchiks a guided tour of some of our most vital defense facilities!
In brief, unlike in the case with Republicans, no villainy linked to “Russian collusion” is attributed by Democrats to the apparatchiks who have run a terror-sponsoring Russian satrapy on our doorstep for upwards of 60 years!
