Consequences Matter

When I was growing up as a young boy my mom and dad told me to always try to do what was right.  They told me to do my best to follow the rules, obey the laws, respect authorities, and always tell the truth, no matter how difficult that might be at times.

I certainly was not an angel growing up, especially during my teenage years.  There indeed were some ‘escapades’ that my parents never found out about.  At least not until years later when during family gatherings my brothers and I would regale each other with the stories of our ‘adventures’ during our youth.  Mom and Dad would just sit there and shake their heads, amazed that we didn’t end up dead, or in jail.

One thing we knew for certain though, if we got caught misbehaving there would have been consequences.  My parents weren’t much on spanking, though there were a few administered when I was a youngster, before I got too big.  They were more creative in meting out justice for my transgressions.  I lost my car keys a few times, and missed out on some other fun extra-curricular activities as a result of breaking a rule.  Believe-you-me, those consequences taught me a lesson.

In recent days we’ve learned that there is a significant amount of evidence to support the conclusion that Barack Hussein Obama looks to have led a conspiracy to undermine and even overthrow the presidency of Donald J. Trump, starting as far back as in 2016 before Trump was even sworn into office.  Obama’s co-conspirators are reported to have included Hillary Clinton, FBI Director James Comey, FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, CIA Director John Brennan, National Security Advisor Susan Rice, and others.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has submitted a referral to the U.S. Justice Department alleging serious crimes committed by those involved in the conspiracy with Obama.  Certainly they are entitled to their day in court, and unlike what was done to President Trump, each of those identified by DNI Gabbard will be presumed as innocent by the news media until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Justice Department under Attorney General Pam Bondi will review the referral and associated evidence, and will make a determination on whether or not to formally charge and pursue prosecution of any or all of those identified as conspirators.  Should they be convicted it’s a good bet that many, if not all of those involved would spend many years, if not the rest of their lives in federal prison.  Serious consequences for serious crimes.

Obviously I’m not equating treasonous behavior with sneaking out of the house after the curfew my parents imposed when I was a teenager.  My offense way back during my youth, as well as the consequences that I experienced pale in comparison to allegations of treason and other associated crimes committed against the people of the United States by Barack Hussein Obama and his cabal of co-conspirators.

But my point is that there indeed were consequences for my conduct.  And for a teenager who wanted to be able to hang out with his friends, being ‘grounded’ and having the car keys taken away for a couple of weeks was indeed a serious consequence.

Americans who believe in the rule of law, and who revere the Constitution of the United States as our governing document, demand no less than severe consequences for what at least appears to be the most serious crime ever committed by politicians against their political foe, and the American people.  What is being alleged against Barack Hussein Obama and his cabal makes the Watergate scandal from the Nixon era look like spitting on the sidewalk.

Unfortunately many Americans, including probably most of President Trump’s supporters, hold out little hope that anyone will face any consequences for these most egregious acts alleged to have been committed by Obama and his minions.  We’ve seen too many times how the rich and powerful are able to escape justice for their crimes.  Will that again be the case with Obama and his co-conspirators, all of them rich and powerful?

My suspicion is that Obama’s minions are already working the phones to their ANTIFA, BLM, and other paid leftist lunatics to prepare to take to the streets if indeed Obama and his co-conspirators are charged with anything.  You see, for the Democrats and their Obamunist allies the rule of law means nothing, nor does our U.S. Constitution.  Just like Barack Hussein Obama, they are all true believers in the adage “the ends justify the means”.  They see nothing wrong with ignoring the Constitution or breaking laws if it helps their political goals.

At the very least we can hope that Obama, Hillary Clinton, and all of the others are completely discredited and seen for what they have always been, which is nothing more than common crooks.  Rich and powerful ones, but still nothing more than common crooks.  They will no longer be paid millions of dollars to give speeches, or invited to offer their political commentary on TV news programs, and they will be shunned by all.

At the very best we will see ‘perp walks’ on the evening news, and orange jumpsuits in all of their futures.  There must be consequences or we have learned nothing.
