As the President’s poll numbers bounce between pathetic and merely terrible, the Biden administration has been trying to distract the public from the undeniable disasters of their own making by saying that democracy is under attack from their political opponents. These statements often come with a reference to claims about the 2020 election being stolen or what administration officials deem misinformation over various crises the administration’s ineptitude has foisted upon Americans. But when it comes to denying elections, spreading disinformation, and sliming political opponents with slanderous claims, numerous Biden officials are quite familiar with these tactics. Here we present a short list of 22 prominent current and former members of the Biden administration who either refused to accept the election results in 2016, accused the former president of colluding with a foreign power based on the Hillary Clinton campaign-funded Steele dossier, or falsely labeled the Hunter Biden laptop as Russian disinformation.

Shortly after the results were confirmed, she tweeted of the 2016 election “Stolen emails, stolen drone, stolen election.”

Played a major role in pushing the now debunked dossier that made fraudulent claims about the Trump campaign and how they planned to steal the 2016 election, part of a plot that undermined the duly elected administration.
3. Anthony Blinken – Secretary of State
Stated that Trump may have willingly worked with the Russians to win the 2016 election in an interview with CNN.
4. Deb Haaland – Secretary of the Interior
In a 2018 tweet, she pushed the false Russia narrative and called for an investigation into the integrity of our elections.
5. Jennifer Granholm – Secretary of Energy
Accused Trump of “cheating in” the 2016 election in a 2020 tweet.
6. Xavier Becerra – Secretary of Health and Human Services
Pushed the Russian collusion conspiracy theory.

Claimed that Gore had more votes in 2000 and implied that Gore should have won that year in a 2018 tweet.
8. John Podesta – Senior Advisor to the President for Green Energy Innovation and Implementation
Accused Trump of colluding with Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign. As head of the Clinton campaign, Podesta played a major role in the creation of the infamous Steele Dossier.

As you can see, you don’t have to a be a low-level staffer to have been susceptible to these fact-free claims during the Trump-era. Many of these individuals are high-level appointees and employees actively pushing conspiracy theories that a few of them appear to have played a role in conjuring up themselves.
