Obviously Mamdani Hates Jews, He’s A Progressive Democrat

It’s pretty easy to condemn something you disagree with, you just say what you really think and feel – done and done. But when asked to condemn something you do not disagree with, something you or your friends support, things get a little complicated. That’s where Zohran Mamdani, Democratic Party nominee for New York City Mayor, finds himself. He’s not uncomfortable there, with the anti-Semitic hate, only with the prospect of having to speak about it in disapproving terms. No one wants to be the skunk at the progressive garden party.

Mamdani doesn’t like Jews. Any quick search of his past statements will expose a long list of coded statements and friends who straight-out say as much (Zohran is too smart to be direct, but too much of a believer to be undetected). He’s right there with them, just not dumb enough to say it out loud.

But what Zohran says out loud is bad enough, and on Meet the Press Sunday he was given three chances to condemn the phrase “globalize the intifada,” likely the tramp stamp tattoo on 80 percent of his voters. It would have been simple, but it would have caused his supporters heartburn, as they really hate the existence of not only Israel, but Jews.

When asked if he’d condemn the idea of taking globally the push to exterminate every Jew in Israel, Mamdani passed. Instead of condemning globalizing – making worldwide, wiping out all Jews – he said, “That's not language that I use. The language that I use and the language that I will continue to use to lead this city is that which speaks clearly to my intent, which is an intent grounded in a belief in universal human rights. And ultimately, that's what is the foundation of so much of my politics, the belief that freedom and justice and safety are things that, to have meaning, have to be applied to all people, and that includes Israelis and Palestinians as well.”

When pressed again by the host, he said, “I've heard from many Jewish New Yorkers who have shared their concerns with me, especially in light of the horrific attacks that we saw in Washington, D.C. and in Boulder, Colorado about this moment of antisemitism in our country and in our city. And I've heard those fears and I've had those conversations. And ultimately, they are part and parcel of why, in my campaign, I’ve put forward a commitment to increase funding for anti-hate crime programming by 800%. I don't believe that the role of the mayor is to police speech in the manner, especially of that of Donald Trump, who has put one New Yorker in jail, who's just returned to his family, Mahmoud Khalil, for that very supposed crime of speech. Ultimately, what I think I need to show is the ability to not only talk about something but to tackle it and to make clear that there's no room for antisemitism in this city. And we have to root out that bigotry, and ultimately we do that through the actions. And that is the mayor I will be, one that protects Jewish New Yorkers and lives up to that commitment through the work that I do.”

Finally, when basically begged by the host, he refused, only saying, “My concern is to start to walk down the line of language and making clear what language I believe is permissible or impermissible takes me into a place similar to that of the president, who is looking to do those very kinds of things, putting people in jail for writing an oped. Putting them in jail for protesting. Ultimately, it's not language that I use. It's language I understand there are concerns about. And what I will do is showcase my vision for this city through my words and my actions.”

That was it, the host stopped pressing and moved on.

Now, for fun, re-read what Momdani said above but imagine he was talking about anyone other than Jews or straight white people (you pick, it doesn’t matter) and see if you think the reaction to this refusal to condemn calls for a global extermination action would be met with the silence of the left. I’ll save you the time, it would not.

All hell would break loose, as it should. If your “principles” allow for bigotry and hatred in some circumstances, it really will allow for them under any circumstances, it’s just that other opportunities haven’t presented themselves yet.

It’s not just Zohran Mamdani, it’s every Democrat (with the exception of John Fetterman, who is a left-wing as they come but not insane or destructive toward the country and his career as the rest of his fellow travelers are). They all barely pretend not to be, but it’s just a game. And it’s not just Jews, it’s everyone who will not submit to their will. It’s how progressives have been since their eugenics days and it’s how they are today. Come to think of it, with how they are on trans and genital multination of kids, maybe their eugenics days aren’t that far behind them after all. Let’s not let them anywhere near power so we never find out for sure.
