I have two kids, both girls, ages 6 and 7. If a trailer for a movie that is remotely targeted to kids comes on the TV, I hold my breath and count to five knowing the “I want to see that” screeches start. Cartoon? I’ll have to hear about it and probably go. Kids running around doing something implausible in live action? I’ll be reserving seats in the back row. Involve a princess or someone who might be a princess? I brace myself for the onslaught of every trailer they find online, every video full of hidden “easter eggs” and an in-depth discussion of every toy from the movie. But with Disney’s latest offering – a completely unnecessary live action version of Snow White – crickets.
It's not like my kids haven’t seen the promotions for the movie, you can’t escape them in kids TV world. They just don’t care.
I should say that I’ve never really been a fan of Disney cartoon movies. I didn’t grow up loving them or have fond memories of seeing any of the classics on the big screen. I was the youngest of five, the novelty had worn off all of it for everyone by the time I was old enough to care.
But I didn’t care. I have never seen Bambi, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Pinocchio, Dumbo or any of the ones Disney tries to pretend didn’t happen because the current woke mindset deemed them to be racist. I wasn’t denied, I didn’t care. If it didn’t have fighting or lasers, I wasn’t interested. I know the stories – Bambi’s mom has a drinking problem, right? – and have seen parts because you can’t escape them, but I’ve never watched one start to finish.
The same goes for the second wave of Disney movies in the '80s and '90s. Even though everyone says Robin Williams is hilarious as a crab, a singing fish chick was of no interest to me. Wait, he was the genie in Aladdin? Same difference, neither got my attention. Nothing Disney made did. I’d discovered sports and noticed girls existed by then, so I managed to escape the evil clutches of “The Mouse.”
(Honestly, I’ve always thought Mickey Mouse was lame. His voice is annoying, I can’t understand a word Donald says, and I have no idea what a “Goofy” is other than stupid.)

My kids didn’t completely escape Disney. They like a lot of their newer movies, and something called “Miraculous Ladybug,” which is about the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen – it seems to be written by a French guy who is obsessed with Japan and has all the dialog translated to Japanese first, then to English from there.
But Snow White?
It’s right in their wheelhouse, and it’s a yawn. I’ve gone from holding my breath when a Disney ad comes on to ignoring it. It’s quite nice, actually.
I wouldn’t have taken them to see Snow White if they wanted to, anyway. The star, a left-wing actress named Rachel Zegler, is such a ball of contempt for anyone who won’t conform to her 3rd grade level of understand of politics that she spends all her time attacking Americans and defending terrorists. Were I interested in her movie, she would have turned me off completely from it.
Zegler has attacked the country as racist, played the victim card like it was an accomplishment, and is a big fan of Hamas and the people who support them. Hard pass.
Disney knows this, but they’ve already made the movie; the money is spent. They have to try to sell it.
They’ve finally convinced that actress, for whom education was clearly not a priority or necessity, to stop vocally supporting terrorists and smearing the country you need to buy tickets to your movie, but it’s probably too late. Good. Social consequences for being a jackass are the best.
But Disney is still trying to polish this turd, and Zegler’s team – desperate to find ways to spread the blame around if this thing bombs – decided to “include the Jew” in why this whole thing is “controversial.”
Variety, the Hollywood Bible, wrote, “Disney Scales Back ‘Snow White’ Hollywood Premiere Amid Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot Controversies.”
Gal Gadot, who played Wonder Woman before DC decided to make their movies suck even more, has no controversies other than she’s Israeli. That fact upsets activist Democrats – they haven’t been fans of Jews existing since at least the 1930s.
In a long article sugarcoating Zegler’s stupidity and anger over dwarfs existing in the movie (I mean, it’s in the original freaking title, how can it sneak up on anyone? Plus, who cares?), they added in Gadot’s offense. “World politics have also come into play,” Variety wrote. “Zegler has promoted ‘free Palestine’ on social media. At the same time, Gadot, who is Israeli, has become an outspoken supporter of Israel on social media as well as in a passionate speech she delivered on March 4 when she was honored at the Anti-Defamation League’s annual summit in New York City.”
Gal Gadot speaking out against her country being wiped off the map by terrorists, and the Democrats in this country who cheer the idea, is her offense? As a non-Jew who just happens to love freedom and despise terrorists, allow me to politely suggest those involved go have intercourse with themselves until it brings about their demise.
I’m glad my kids aren’t interested in Snow White, now I don’t have to be the bad guy and tell them they can’t see a movie they’re excited about. If it bombs, it was earned. And I suspect Disney will learn nothing from the whole thing. Can’t say I care about that either. Mickey Mouse sucks, I’ve always been a Bugs Bunny man myself, anyway.
