Let’s be honest; it is impossible to be friendly with the radical left. I’m not talking about the run-of-the-mill Democrats who vote that way because their grandparents and parents were Democrats; I’m talking about the hate-America left – the mutants burning American flags, throwing bricks at cops, and taking over college campuses calling for the extermination of Jews every time Israel retaliates after an attack from terrorist scum. You can’t be friendly with them as they are the enemy of everything good humans have created over the centuries.
Harsh, I know, but I didn’t bring us to this point, I’m simply noticing. I didn’t make lifelong friends turn rabid jackasses incapable of simply accepting that people have different opinions on different issues. They’re the ones demanding conformity – obedience to them, really – not the other way around. Trump Derangement Syndrome didn’t just rot their brains; it rewired their souls. They’d disown their own mother if they “thought wrong.” That’s a level of instability bordering on evil.
The reaction from the left to the Oval Office blow-up Friday shows we no longer share a desire for what is best for the country; they prefer “party über alles,” written partially in German because that’s where their heart is.
As we inch closer to civil war or a national divorce, I have questions for these people. First and foremost, which would they prefer?
These are people who cheer the assassination of a health insurance company CEO and openly lament the failed assassination attempts against President Trump, so you can’t tell me they aren’t violent people. They justified it to themselves the way the German people justified the way the Nazi government treated Jews – they had it coming for…fill in the blank.
But make no mistake, it is a short walk from “I can’t speak to you anymore because of your support of X” to “If you didn’t want to be arrested/beaten/executed, you shouldn’t have supported those bad people.” The “otherization” of half the country has begun; the only thing missing for the powder keg to blow is a spark, and the leadership on the left is playing with matches.
So, which do you want, a war or divorce? We don’t really want either. For all the talk about “Republicans don’t accept the results of elections, and that’s a threat to democracy,” it isn’t Republicans who refuse to use any President’s name. Donald Trump moved out of the White House in 2021 – just because he won’t say the magic words you command does not make him an election denier; his acknowledgment of “President Biden” means the exact opposite.
Weird how so many Democrats, who cheered the attempts to block the certification of the 2016 election, can’t bring themselves to call President Trump “President Trump,” isn’t it? Last term, they called him “45,” now it’s “47.” Is that election acceptance? Were there Republicans who didn’t acknowledge Joe Biden? I’ll save you the Google search; the answer is no.
These people are outraged over the concept of rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse in government spending. They scream about bureaucrats losing their jobs, but why? Are bureaucrats somehow sacrosanct? If someone is not good at their job or their job is unnecessary, should they not be let go? In the private sector, they would be, so why would it be any different in government?
Is it that government unions dump a fortune into electing Democrats, and fewer government union members means less money for Democrats? With this and the collapse of USAID and ending random government grants for “research” that serves no purpose other than to employ leftists seeking to justify progressive social policy, we are witnessing the wholesale dismantling of the largest money laundering scheme in history from taxpayers to the Left-Wing Industrial Complex.
No wonder they’re pissed off. They might have to work for a living.
With this latest blow-up over money to Ukraine and the desire to end the war and stop the killing, Democrats again have come to the side of continued bloodshed and blank checks as they can’t let go of their “If Trump is for it, we’re against it, no matter what ‘it’ is” philosophy.
I’m old enough to remember when the left opposed war, no matter what. Now, they oppose people trying to end them. I wonder how Democrats justify that to themselves?
They don’t really offer a coherent argument for supporting continued bloodshed in Ukraine. It’s trench warfare at this point – WWI with longer-range weapons that hit civilians but can’t move the lines. A stalemate that only leads to more death, never a resolution. Who can support that?
By the way, if Donald Trump is Putin’s pet, as is the mantra on the left, why can’t Putin win? If Russia had even the secret support of the United States, there would be nothing that could stop them from taking over this tiny, corrupt country. They can’t.
Wouldn’t it be better to stop the killing? It would have the added benefit of stopping the flow of billions as we rush toward bankruptcy. Are those good things?
No, because Trump is on the other side of them, period.
The endless string of lies and cheering for the death of Americans, Israelis, and people in Ukraine seems like an odd position for anyone to be in, yet that’s where the “progressive” left is.
Now that I look back on this, I don’t really have any questions for Democrats – questions imply there are rational answers or at least the prospect of an honest dialog on the subject at hand, and that is simply not possible with them anymore. It was never enjoyable, but it was possible. Not anymore.
They live in a different world where Israel is a problem, and Ukraine is the most important country on the planet (though, weirdly, their people can continue to be killed without end). The progressive machine snapped into action, dutifully taking sides against America, and people like Chris Murphy danced on the line of treason because that’s where Democrats live these days.
There are a lot of words that can describe that mentality, none of which is “friend.”
