A Growing Number of Democrats Want Nancy Pelosi to Just Go Away Already

Nancy Pelosi used to be thought of as a hero by leftists, someone who could do no wrong in their eyes. No matter how badly she screwed the country, there was always a liberal fanbase ready to cheer her on. Hell, they wouldn’t cheer her in spite of how awful she was, they cheered her because of how awful she was. That was before now – before Democrats lost to Donald Trump a second time while failing to retake the House. Now my Democrat friends want her to go.

They’ve had enough – two losses of the House for the party is not something people who are not known for their forgiveness can or are willing to forgive. Most Speakers don’t survive one loss. Hell, many recent Republican Speakers haven’t survived winning elections, yet Nancy has someone who has held on to power after losing the majority and the Speakership twice.

Sure, she’s not “technically” the leader of the Democrats, but who do you see more of on TV, her or Hakeem Jeffries? Whose words carry more weight? I mean, they made up a new title for her: Speaker Emeritus. It means nothing, but it’s a way for them to keep referring to her as “Speaker” like she still is. Because to Democrats, she still is and will be, as long as she’s in Congress.

They can’t quit her. Not because she’s so wonderful, but because she’s so singularly awful. When you’re making things worse, whether by trying or ignorance, you need a face to put out there willing to horrify the public, and Nancy Pelosi has that face. And no, that is not a plastic surgery disaster joke, it’s a commentary on the agenda that party puts out there.

Democrats have nothing good to sell, so the sheer force of her will is pretty much what they have. She runs the show…into the ground, to hear my friends tell it.

For years now, the left has been collectively been operating under the idea that if Pelosi did it, that was a good enough reason to be in favor of it for the mindless drone-set, just like Donald Trump supporting something, even if it were something Democrats used to support, was reason enough to oppose it.

It’s a hell of a thing to watch, honestly. But the schtick is wearing thin.

One friend remembered how she’d assumed that when Nancy agreed with the “progressive” wing of the Democratic Caucus to serve one final term as Speaker, she assumed that would mean Nancy would retire after that term. She didn’t, needless to say.

All she did was refuse to run for Democrat Minority Leader after they lost their majority, paving the way for the party to be able to congratulate itself for electing the first black man as their leader.

Congratulate themselves they did, and they fundraised off that as much as anyone could, shamelessly so. What they didn’t do was actually follow the lead of Jeffries anywhere. In fairness to them, Jeffries didn’t really try to lead them anywhere, anyway. He knows the place Nancy put him in. What good is a title if you don’t have the power to go along with it.

And now she’s back for another term; another couple of years of being the face of the Democratic Party. A loopy leftist on a plane, probably in first class talking about bringing “San Francisco values” to Washington, DC, like people hadn’t just rejected whatever the hell “San Francisco values” could possibly mean.

That’s Nancy Pelosi’s super power: the ability to power through anything, without shame or concern for being called out for hypocrisy. The people of her district would reelect her corpse or fingernail clippings, because why not? The closest she’s ever come to losing her seat was in the 1987 special election where she won it for the first time. Back then, she squeaked to victory with a mere 63 percent of the vote.

Since then, it’s been a cake walk for Nancy, winning this year with 81 percent. That’s almost a toss-up in her feces infested, junkie district.

She’s the closest thing to eternal life in electoral politics – even pouring water won’t stop her, she will live forever in the form of bad ideas and an insistence on them. But her physical form, in the eyes of many Democrats, is wearing out its welcome. While my friends are not typical Democrats, they are in no way unique. There is a growing faction of that party that wants to see the Nancy Pelosi’s of the world just go away, and it’s only going to get bigger.
