Democrats Just Need Your $25 to Save the World, or Something Equally Stupid

Did you know that you can change the world for only $25? You can also save the country, turn the tide of an election, and even have a chance to meet a presidential candidate at that low, low price. It’s what Democrats have taken to asking for from donors – just $25 can swing the whole election, help them meet a deadline, or cure cancer. Ok, not so much that last one, at least not yet. But if you read these emails from the left, you can’t help but suspect it’s only a matter of time before they claim that, too.

It's a sign of the times that just four years ago, Democrats were asking for a donation of only $3. Inflation has hit everything. And while you can’t just demand more money from your boss to cover the shortfall, Democratic Party activists can – because they sure as hell aren’t about to take a pay cut for the cause when they can manipulate suckers into maxing out their credit cards at 25 percent APR so they don’t have to.

In just the month of August, Democrats have emailed me 38 times asking for a $25 donation. I wouldn’t give them a dime to save their lives, but people out there are giving, and no amount of money is ever enough, as the party keeps returning for more.

The emails I’ve received are nowhere near complete. I only signed up for a couple of them, and then they sold my email, along with millions of others, to any left-wing candidate with the cash. Democrats are about as selective with email purchases as Hunter Biden is when it comes to his prostitutes. So, what I’ve been sent is just the tip of the iceberg.

That said, if someone were dumb enough to give each time they received an email like I did, it would cost $950 this month. Did you get an extra grand burning a hole in your pocket? With a week still to go, the total ask will be well over $1,200.

Of course, no one gives every time they get an email soliciting money, right? I’m not so sure.

While the number of people who would is relatively low, it is not zero. Those emails from Nigerian princes looking to park millions in your bank account for a minute while they escape their captors had to have worked on someone, or else no one would have tried them for so long, right? You can’t hear the news without some story of how con artists scammed some senior out of a chunk of their retirement or bars of gold. It happens all the time.

Senior citizens who can least afford it are the most susceptible to pressure scams. The same, I suspect, is true for campaign fundraising scams. That makes what the Democrats are doing all the more disgusting.

One email from the Harris campaign reads, “$25, Derek. That’s how much we’re asking grassroots supporters to give right now. If that’s all you need to hear, we’re tracking donations at this link: (Deleted because screw them.) Otherwise, let us explain. As you read this, Kamala and Tim are starting to get hammered with attacks from the MAGA Right. They’re doing it on Fox News. They’re doing it online. They’re spreading lies and misinformation about our campaign and this election. In the last quarter, the Trump campaign raised $331 MILLION. No joke. That’s why we’re asking for your help.”

Last week, Democrats were bragging about how they’d raised $500 million in the month since they tossed Joe Biden out with the trash and installed Kamala Harris as their nominee. If you’re playing the home game, $500 million is $169 million more than $331 million, which means Democrats have a cash advantage.

Why, then, raise more? First, the people who raise it get a cut. It’s true that people get rich off politics, particularly political fundraising. Depending on the person, their slice, which can be as high as 90 percent, has no cap. For all the talk of “corporate greed,” the left is silent on political greed.

Also, there are a lot of people who would have to get a real job if they were not able to scam grandma and grandpa out of their Social Security money. They aren’t about to do that. They’re liberals, which means they’re just this side of communists, but they’re going to stuff their bank accounts to the top before pulling the ladder of success up behind them.

These people are bad, not just because of what they want to do to the country but also because of what they’re willing to do to get in a position to do it. They need to be beaten this fall; they need to be destroyed.
